Talk to me about Beasley Knob

Im thinking about making a run up to Beasley Knob soon. Ive never been and the web page states experienced riders only. Now ive had my jeep out on the trail several times. Tray Mt., and sheeps wallow mostly. Am i getting in a little over my head? They guy I go with is also fairly new to jeeping so just wanted to know what to expect. Im not above turning back on something if i dont feel comfortable, or taking a bypass if they even exist there.

I went a couple of weeks ago with the SNAIL leading the way, beasley is a sweet ride for sure, but i would not want to go my first time without someone who has been, and i would not go and it wet,or by myself for sure.....

The most important equipment you need for Beasley is your brain. You seem to have figured out being smart, taking it easy when need be, is best. DO NOT go by yourself. Make sure there's at least one winch among you. Check the DNR web site to see if the trails are open. I suspect next weekend they'll be closed. I'm ready to go back though!

I've looked for the link. I see the status on the forest dept page. Is that what your referring to? If not a link would be great.

here is the link I was looking at

They don't update the status on the website very well. Call before you go 706-745-6928. Once they close the office on Friday they don't update the phone message either.

If it's been raining a lot don't go.

P.S. I'm the guy who picked up your springs. (think that was you)
