Trail in Big Canoe GA

Has anyone here heard of or been down the "Jeep Trail" in Big Canoe?
I'm headed there with some family next weekend, and read about it. Some sites describe it as a fairly easy off road trail, and others seem to treat it as a cleverly named hiking trail.

Any thoughts?

I've been down to the Wildcat WMA and that dirt road seems to keep going past the campsite where I stopped. Really wanted to continue but had to stop for SAR training we were doing. Is that the one you're talking about? It's a couple miles north of Big Canoe. I've got a friend who has lived in Big Canoe for 10+ years so if there is a Jeep trail in there, I know he'd know about it. I can get more info if you want.

I'll check out that trail in the wma. If you hear of anything else I would love to know About it.
There seems to be a trail called "jeep trail". But it may just be a hiking only trail with a clever name.

Thanks!

I talked to my friend who lives in Big Canoe. He says he's been on that trail numerous times. It's short, about 1.5 miles and used to be more challenging than it is now. It's been graded so retirees with SUVs can make it up to to see the waterfalls. There are many hiking trails that crisscross it.

He says there are much better Jeep trails in the area and would be willing to take us on those (or the trail in question) if we want.

TDCoffee, PM me if you want to talk about getting together for that. I'm not really interested in putting together anything more than just us three since I consider myself a newbie. Been a long time and just getting back into off-roading. I don't want to have to deal with a bunch of people. I trust the guy I've been talking about to re-teach me the proper way to safely off-road, plus he's an EMT with extensive wilderness medical experience.
