I talked to my friend who lives in Big Canoe. He says he's been on that trail numerous times. It's short, about 1.5 miles and used to be more challenging than it is now. It's been graded so retirees with SUVs can make it up to to see the waterfalls. There are many hiking trails that crisscross it.
He says there are much better Jeep trails in the area and would be willing to take us on those (or the trail in question) if we want.
TDCoffee, PM me if you want to talk about getting together for that. I'm not really interested in putting together anything more than just us three since I consider myself a newbie. Been a long time and just getting back into off-roading. I don't want to have to deal with a bunch of people. I trust the guy I've been talking about to re-teach me the proper way to safely off-road, plus he's an EMT with extensive wilderness medical experience.
