Trey Mtn. this weekend?

The kids and I went last weekend, little muddy nothing the creek won't wash off. The wife and I were talking about doing it this weekend. It is just a forestry service road N. of Helen that goes across the Mtn. and comes back out near Sautee store, takes an hour or two. Bring a hoodie cuz it was cold l.weekend in sum of dem hollers. Hit me up if your interested, maybe we can meet up somewhere, the more the merrier.

I'm bringing my oldest and his friend riding up in the forest Saturday. Gonna drive to the top of Hawk mountain (winding stair gap, Hightower gap, then over through cooper's gap).

Are these (Hawk & Trey Mountains) fire/service trails?
Where do you guys get onto the trails?
I am new to Jeeps and looking for some light to moderate trails to start with.

Me and the boys had fun today. We also drove down to the swinging bridge up hwy 60 (north of Rock Creek rd).

I have a block of off days around the third week in April. We should plan a day out.

Atop Hawk Mountain:
