I guess I hit a rut real hard.. lol Not really sure I was actually on a smooth part of the trail and heard a weird snap then some grind I stopped and saw a shock boot, the guts to a shock, and looked under my jeep and saw my 3 week old MX6 shock dug into the ground.. lol hope the warranty covers it..

You may not have long enough bump stops. Your shocks aren't suppose to bottom out. Having the correct length bump stops will keep your shocks from exploding and/or tearing your mounts completely off.

You mean the shock piston...lol. If so the shock bottom'd out real hard at one point. The piston came to its stopping spot with such force that the piston beant. The gas or oil (whatever the shocked is filled with) did not slow the piston down but the piston stoping point did causing the piston to bend. The shocks support your YJ's body weight along with the leaf. So when you drop off into a rut you have the force of the body that's coming down plus amount the tire went down. There is a lot of energy the shock has absorb if you think about it.

Give em a call, they might and look at your bump stop lengths.

I'd would say that this is the first time that I offroad with them. It was mud and no rocks so there wasnt extreme flexing to where the shock could compress real hard. I would like to see about replacing it under warranty. Call Albert (Gm @ norcross 4 wheel parts wholesaler) and speak with him about it (that is where you got them from right?)
