When I use to have a jeep in the 80s everyone waved, now I can't get anyone to wave, and I noticed the jk owners are the worse at it, they seem to throw up their nose at you.

I wave at all Jeeps but I Agree the 4 door JK gets the least return on investment. If I get a wave back so be it. It is like a neighbor we have my wife is determined to wave at him every time she sees him but he never waves back.

I stopped waving at stock jeeps, unless they wave first! Seem most jk owners (not all) don't have the jeep spirit!
Hang on this might hurt!!!

Here's a big Jeep wave for everyone! I wave even if they don't wave back.

wavey: I've had my jeep going on a month now. I love it! I agree with FLGator, I rarely get a wave back from other soccer moms, it's always the guys giving it to me

I know this is an old thread, but Atlanta people just don't wave. I moved here in 2001 and had a stock 1999 TJ. Before I moved here I lived in Jackson, Mississippi and Nashville, Tennessee. Everyone waved, until I moved to Atlanta. Now that I have another TJ, I started waving again. Nobody waves back. boooooo

Too many people purchase because they see others with em with no idea of Jeep history....but if I ever visit our Atlanta office with my JKU, I'll be the guy waving.

Here in Rome I get waves from about half of them and a few of those wave with that look on their face like "do I know you?" So I'm sure they don't know what they are doing.

Drove from Milton to Blairsville yesterday on my way to Bell Mountain. Almost every Jeeper on waved, and there were a lot of them!!. Including the opposite side of the divided hwy.

When I had an 1980 CJ I waved, now I have a 2012 JK and I wave at all jeeps, when I don't get a wave back I will assume the other Jeep didn't see me and let it go at that.

I wave and get return waves here around the Acworth area. Most are from modded jeeps and a few stockers. Typically don't get them from the mall crawlers or older senior citizen owners.

Same here. I wave to ever wrangler, but I'm surprised when a stocker waves back.

I gotta remember to stop waving at the USPS Jeeps. They always give me a crazy look. I didn't know the have new 4 door JK's. Force of habit I guess.

I just bought my Rubicon last August. I didn't know about the wave, but figured it out pretty quick. I wave at all JK owners but I have many that don't wave back. I'm a "stocker" as y'all say, but I do love the camaraderie among Jeep owners!

If you're in Chamblee, come on into Landmark Atlanta and show us your TJ. I do wish that more people knew to wave at other Jeep owners.

2dr JK gets the most play and usually men more so than women. I guess they think I'm hitting on them??

4dr JK is almost no wave.

But I find now it's mostly a 'respect' thing, like they like your rig. It doesn't seem automatic anymore.

But you are hitting on them, aren't you??? No man has ever looked at or been friendly to a woman if he wasn't hitting on her!
