I think I'm going to go ahead and sleeve and gusset my from axle and I was hoping that I could find a welder on here that, 1. is a great welder and 2. knows how to do this.

Thanks,

Shane

I'd do truss and gusset over sleeve and gusset.

Also looking to do the same thing on my dana30, kit from Artec is looking pretty good. Just not really looking to spend like $700 on a weld job....

I priced a complete Artec truss/gusset set up for my front axle today... about $900... but that includes the complete removal of all components in the axle to prevent damage due to heat.

Was this from James or another shop? Local guy wants to charge 800 for install, so all around like 1400 ish if I do ball joints. When I look at it like that it makes me just want to wait a while and grab a ProRock 44. Already a freakin quarter of the way there anyway...

It was from a shop in (or close to) Athens.
