It was awesome we drove up a mountain and then back down and didnt have enough time to cover all the trails only costed 5 bucks to get in and ride all day! Google it beasly knob in blairsville, ga heres a few pics sry there not that good i was driving. but its was great day all around in some trails you can park and go hiking if you like that stuff also 15 minutes away is vogel state park with a huge lake to fish and cabins to rent and camp sites r all around. I'm gonna go back there soon and stay for atleast a weekend.

Beasley is a nice set of trails that can turn evil on you very quickly. If it rains, forget about going to beasley, the trails become bobsled trails and people get hurt out there.

Last trip to Beasley started at 10:00 am, ended at 10:00 am the next morning trying to get vehicles safely off the mountain.

But when it is dry, nice place to take your jeep out.

I live in Tampa but have a vacation home in Blairsville. I've heard about Beasley knob but never checked it out. What parts of the year are best to go, and are there any local jeep clubs in the area that let outa towners tag along on rides?

Rob, the park is closed from Oct till March so those months are out. There is a local Atlanta club called the Georgia Bounty Runners that support the trail system and might be able to help you out about going out there.
I am also president of another club here in Atlanta, but Beasley is just too hit or miss for us because of the extreme trails conditions.

if you are coming up from FL you should check out Durhamtown - GA - Welcome to Durhamtown

they are South of Atlanta and have camp grounds and such.

Beasley is tough when it's wet. Go when it's dry dry dry.

We took your lead, went to Beasley Knob today. Loved it, challenging trails and great weather, can't wait to go back! Like you guys warned, Do Not Go if it has rained or is wet, it is that challenging! Also take another jeep with you just in case. Great time!

They close it down when it rains due to erosion. I will be up that way tomorrow but on two wheels.

Didn't make it. A guy delivered a 5.3 for my other jeep. I have 07r6s with a good bit of mods that i bought new. Here soon it will be rolling over 40k. Let me know when you ride up there. My finance rides with me a lot so I move slower when she is with me. We don't leave people.

Thinking about doing it again this w.end with a new winch for confidence, would be great to have another jeep or jeeps for even more confidence. Any takers?
