Who's going out this weekend?

Looks like our wolf pack is growing. Thought it would be good to start a thread for this weekend.

On a side note, Moses and I were talking and it seems as if a lot of people are getting scammed or ripped off lately. If you're going to purchase parts / accessories / labor from an individual, be sure to either use PayPal or a credit card. These two options will have some recourse available should the deal go south. If those are not options, at the very least get a receipt with legit contact info. Anybody that's trying to be honest will have no problem agreeing to one of these, it's the people that are trying to rip you off that will insist on getting the deal done some other way.

It's unfortunate we have to take these precautions but lets do our best to reduce our risk.

Keep calm and get muddy!!

I'd love to get out, but kids/pool opening/memorial day cookout have me covered.

Next weekend I'm ready to wheel!

I'll be in TN, but I'll pass on ride details to some non-forum jeepers if you come up with one.

This guy. Just waiting on some 35's and a lift install deal to get finalized. On that same note, any one of you fine gentlemen intrested in helping a rookie put a 2.5 TF coil lift in should I find myself without assistance?

Yes, essentially. Colbert - Did you get shocks, spacers, track bar etc anything in addition to what comes with the kit?

I think the kit is just springs, sway bar disconnects, and rear track bar bracket. Doesn't sound too hard and probably won't take near as much time as Cleveland's did.

Ahh, just giving you a hard time. I had fun helping on yours and am definitely a little wiser as a result. As long as I can have a short snicker break here and there, I'm goood.

If I'm back from TX in time, Id be willing to lend a hand on yours Colbert. Do you have a garage and tools or will you need some assistance there too?

Oh my goodness that way more responses than I expected. Well I'm down by Florida and was going to utilize the on base garage to do my stuff. They've got air guns and platforms to lift the jeep up, whatever those are called. Pretty much the whole 9 yards. Was going to try and do it either this friday or next monday. I got just what comes with the kit, coils, shocks, the brake relocation brackets. No control arms of CV mods. Of course Im not opposed to driving somehwere else where theres a garage and some experienced dudes to help me out. Ive never done any of this crap before so Im going off of youtube. As for the wheels, found a pretty good deal on the forums here. 5 wheels and tires for $1000. Wheels are 16's.

I know all the guys that responded and we're all further north.

I'm not the lift expert and will defer to those that are. I did my level kit in my garage in 3 hours with two trips to the parts store for tools.

That was a piece of cake. This lift, from what I've seen is a lot the same but with additional parts.

Kappa, Vader, Moses, Fortune, Indy, Cleveland... input?

I am certainly no expert and doubt Im mechanically inclined enough to do it by myself but if I had access to a lift i would attempt it. Someone with a little more experience should have no issue. The right tools are essential. I think that rear track bar bracket will be your biggest hurdle.

I wouldn't be able to make the drive for a few weeks, at least.

Alright, might as well give it a shot. From what I've heard the on base shop has just about everything a guy should need.
