12/22/2012 Tampa to Hardrock trail ride

This is an invitation to all Tampa bay area Jeepers looking to get together and take a trip up to HardRock for some wheeling!

We are meeting at the rest stop Northbound I75 North of State Road 56 on December 22nd at 0900.

Any questions just ask. I'd like to get to know some more jeepers in the area.
We have a good group of people heading up there, families welcome!

i have not been to Hardrock so anyone with experience would be an asset!

yes. all skill levels and all types of rigs. there are plenty of things to learn and gain experience on. it's a great park to play around in.

just remember there is an entry fee to play here. but the good thing, if you get in trouble, they'll come bail you out.

nothing to be concerned about. it's a cool park to mess around in.

Hey guys, I've been getting some PM's with questions about the trail ride. Just to make things clear, I am NOT a jeep club or organization. This is not a guided trail ride. I am just a Jeeper that is heading up to the off road park in Ocala looking to see if anyone in the area wanted to caravan up. Hardrock Cycle Park - Cycles, ATV's, and 4X4's is the link for the off road park. There is a $25 entry fee charged by the park for entry.
Should be a fun day for all skill levels.
Anyone is welcome to head on up with us.
Hope to see you guys! Any questions just ask!

correct. they're not real concerned with the number of people, more with the number of rigs. when you get there each person has to come in and sign a waiver... but only one person per rig has to pay.

they'll give you a sticker you throw up on the corner of your windshield.

That's Ok, I'm sure there will be many more.

I'm putting my winch on tomorrow. It's been sitting in my shed for 9 years when I sold my TJ, hope it still works.

I didn't know there were jeep trails in Croom. I used to ride dirt bike there all the time.

hardrock is an off road vehicle park in ONF. there are a TON of jeep trails off of SR 40. you shouldn't have any trouble finding some stuff to play around on. just look for the signs on the fireroads... some of them will specifically say whether or not they are jeep trails, or for horses, or are closed by the rangers...

no signs - go for it. just go easy. and let someone know where you're headed. cell phone reception can be a little spotty out there. my girlfriend and i where up there not too long ago... on our way to St. Augustine we played on a couple trails. nothing major...

Will do! I'd like to check out Croom or Hudson. I've been researching them online but nothing is better than going with someone with trail knowledge.

Anyone else going on saturday you can let me know or not, Like I said I'll be at the meeting point till 9:30. Look for a group of Jeeps Feel free to join!
