Something that really pisses me off is when someone says something about my jeep, walking out of walmart I saw a wanna be redneck, that I raced! (Me and him raced his pos ford v6 against my I6 on 33". ) (I guess he was still mad that my tires cost more then his truck is worth,) so I walk past him and he doesn't say shit! Get in my jeep and while driving past him he yells your jeep is a piece of shit!
Me and my brother were this close to getting out and saying " fuck u say?" but has a jeep owner I know he is just mad cause my rig is so nice!
So I drove on and of course I reved my engine real loud and let the straight pipe sing and here the crackle and kindly let the middle finger fly!

Btw I finished my bedliner fenders and blacked out my signals and rear lights some more!

Took my kid out to the compound yesterday... let's just say that it's a teensy bit soupy out there:

The trail that she picked was so wet that I really had to work to get through it, mostly b/c I'm still on stock tires , though. Thank God that the Jeep is so nimble, or else we would have gotten stuck for sure.

The Compound

Sorry we missed ya derfC - we were out there tooling around on Saturday testing out the new Jeep and getting in a little geocaching.

How ironic, we we geocaching earlier in the day as well; tried to find one behind Liberty Park while out for a bike ride, but the brush was just too thick & overgrown to get to it.

I keep meaning to check out some of the caches in and around the compound as well; I think I counted something like 53 of them in that vicinity

Nice lookin' Rubi, btw!

@DerfC - Thanks! I figured I would have a lot more difficulty coming up with money to do the mods I wanted than just building the cost into a monthly payment. Absolutely no regrets!! (though now I'm still looking at things like a new bumper and winch, and kayak racks, and snorkel, and ....)

@BigBlueJ - GeoCaching is a high tech treasure hunt. You use a GPS to get you close and then your skills to locate the cache. As for why? *shrug* It's fun - especially now that I have a Jeep! There are a few caches in the area that people have put out there which are only accessible via 4x4 or a very long wet hike. It's not necessarily an activity that is for everyone but then neither ix off roading or bowling but if you do enjoy it, you, and the whole family, can have a blast doing it. As DerfC mentioned, there are something like 50+ caches in the compound alone!

I hear ya... I've had my Jeep a year & haven't done much to it; something always comes up and the funds get diverted to that instead of Jeep mods. However, I'm planning on a modest lift & once I wear out these cr@ppy stock tires, I'll slap on some better shoes. Who knows after that (bumpers, flares, etc).

As for the kayaks, you could always do like this guy (note the FIT plate & decal ):

The lure of geocaching is simple; It's both free and something that the whole family can do together. Caches vary from being very easy to find to being only accessible via 4x4 or boat (a friend of mine once found a cache where he had to climb to the top of a buoy in the middle of the river ).

So, what's the deal with Mercury Road in West Melbourne? I see on the satellite view there are flats (and in fact trucks) out there however I have been led to believe it's private property and off limits. Though how a county road can be off limits I do not know and there are not any No Trespassing signs posted for the road itself.

Anyone know?

Near Lk Washington/ off Sarno extenion, right?

I think that a lot of folks used to ride dirt bikes out there... As I recall, someone got stupid/ hurt & the cops clamped down on all off-road vehicles. That was a few years ago, however.

Also, it's been probably 20 years since I've ventured out in that area and...

Holy Crap! Where did all those houses come from?!?!!
