Hi all! Davie here. Mud is fun and we don't have any rocks down here, lol, but love overlanding and trail rides (ok, always some mud, lol). Anyone else into this?

I would love to do overlanding, but it doesn't seem like Florida or the southeast is suitable. Do you know of good places to do multiday treks?

My family enjoys trails. Corbett has good trails. I just completed Huricane Creek in western North Carolina today.(up here on vacation). What are your favorites?

I drive to and from work every day. Does that count? :) seriously, Ocala NF has about a hundred miles of OHV trails and the area has numerous forestry roads. Last time out we even saw a black bear.

Ocala Nat. Forrest is pretty awesome. I was there earlier this month and saw a black bear as well. Unfortunately, the majority of the trails we saw were for ATV's and not large enough or groomed for Jeeps. We did find a couple jeep trails and had a blast. Also a lot of dog hunting going on. I have family in Ocala & Hernando and need to make of point of visting them more often.

Corbett WMA is between Big Cypress & Okeechobee, check out this video from a few weeks ago http://www.wranglerforum.com/f71/corbett-ride-1-5-a-205376-5.html. It was VERY wet but come Feb-March it should be dry...we were supposed to go out on Sunday but guys couldn't make it at the last minute, I might go early sunday to be home around lunch time since its super bowl sunday, anyone else want to go?

you should all come over to the west coast, i know Charlotte county doesn't sound like the place to be but trust me there's one heck of a mud hole out here with plenty of trails around it. just take Yorkshire north till you pass under the highway, after that its all free land.

I'm up here at Eglin AFB. Been playing around offroad for 3 years and I still find a new trail almost every weekend. As far as multiday, you're not allowed to camp outside of a designated camp area, so you can't just pull up to a bare spot and call it good. But I've spent numerous 6-7 hour days with my dad navigating just going new places. And I've only seen the half I live closest too, I've been to the other half maybe twice.

And yes, I LOVE "over landing". I just call it trail riding, I try to go around the "mud"(more like dirty water that destroys crap). And if I come across something that poses even the smallest climbing challenge I climb it.

For those in North Florida, the Osceola National Forest also has hundreds of miles of Jeep trails. Be prepared for a lot of water and mud though, especially in the summer months.

There's also a campground in the forest (Ocean Pond) with both primitive sites and some with water/electric hookups, and bathrooms/showers nearby. Nice for going camping and then taking a night ride.

We go to withlacoochee nat forest e/of Brooksville and camp at silverlake cmp grd all trailheads off of main rd have easy acess and there is a lot of nice trails but in summer it can get real wet never go alone ? heres some pics of last trip you can go for miles and not see a soul for hours one time we came across a old couple that had a f250 powerstroke burried to te frame they had been there all day lucky we came by we winched them out. its a great place to trail ride have fun explore but be carefull out there. the water xing was somewhere else me checking hunting areas .

In most of the National Forrest you can camp anywhere in the forrest you want except during certain times (usually hunting season) or specified otherwise. You don't have to stay at a designated campsite but maintained campgrounds are nice where you can take a shower during the hot Florida summers. Bears are always a threat though when camping in obscure places.
