Bear Island, Big Cypress

Anybody on the locals been to Bear Island. Buddy and I are planning on going this coming Monday, wanted to know if anybody has any experience with how the trails are out there, also if anybody wants to tag along, you're more than welcome to come. We're going Friday bright and early to get our permits so anybody can tag along there too. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Looks pretty sloppy from all the pics I've seen online. Looks like fun!

All the good trails are closed. Like yellow and Blue. You can only run the red trail on the hard pack and not any of the fun parts that are off the hard pack but one little 1/4 mile part.. Good luck. Make sure you have your permit also.

Any idea for he closure? I was thinking of heading there myself next week but it might not be worth it if the good trails are closed.
