I used MotionX HD on my ipad. Set it to record track when we started and stop when done. Added a couple points in google earth afterwards, but wish I had recorded more along the way. They have a similar non-HD version for iPhone as well. Although it's not the drive version with directions. At least I don't think you can do it with the drive version.

It's not bad for a $1.

Forgot to mention that it allows you to download maps prior so you can navigate when offline. Unfortunately, the maps for Corbett stink (no trails). After I record all/most of the trails, I hope to submit them to open maps so it becomes available as part of the standard package.

For this trip, I had cell data on and could watch sat maps.

Nice vid... I am a new Jeeper in West Palm area... Looking to do some wheelin.... You all go out often??

Did any of you turn your ESC to partial off during the ride?? Did it help gettin through the mud????

Also is there a place that does good reliable work? Like lifts, mods tires, rims etc... in the West Palm area???

Thanks

I go out once a month or so. PM if you want to go sometime. I went last week to Corbett, but the rain has been piling up, and they weren't draining at all, so everything was very high.

As far as shops, there is 4Wheel parts which is national. I've done my own work, so can't vouch for service. You'd be surprised how much you can do yourself. Morris4x4 is in North Broward off 95, Cypress. Stopped in today and they have a very small showroom, but lots of parts you can see online and pick up there.

Welcome to the Jeep World and WF. It's a fun time! If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.

I would suggest that you hook up with a club. There you always find someone ready to go wheeling :-)
They also have wrenching parties on the weekend to repair/install stuff.
Why would you not turn off all of those controls? They only restrict you on the trail.
As mentioned there is 4WD+Parts on Military Tr in WPB and two more shops in Hobe Sound/Stuart.
You can check out my web site (this is not the club's official site, just me keeping track of things) for info on the Jupiter Jeep Club where I am a member and some other guys in the local area.
