Unless you guys have another place in mind we should meet up at the gas station,we met there last time we went to Corbett, its 2 mins east of the turnpike on Boynton Bch Blvd. Here is the address again 6555 Boynton Beach Blvd Boynton Beach, FL.

Does 8:30 work for everyone?

I have an emergency strap with metal hooks but I also have a winch so we should be good. Whats the problem with the metal hooks anyways?

If your using it to pull someone out, the added stress can cause the strap to brake, thus causing the metal hook to become a projectile, injuring someone or their property.

interesting, so if the strap breaks then the hook will go flying? Or do you mean that the hook will break or slip off and then go flying? Just trying to understand everyones problem with these things other than "because everyone else says so"

look up videos of it on YouTube. Once it breaks that stored energy will cause the hook (and what is ever left of the strap) to go flying.

Yup sunday was fun. Thank for the pics Ramon - will def have to meet up with you guys again. Has anyone tried going though all of trail 3? looking at the corbett map it looks like it loops all the way around and we could connect with another trail towards the north entrance to get back on the main road. My brother and I are thinking about trying it since its getting pretty dry out there...anyone else up for spending a day in the swamp?

too much water in the trans and I drove it for too long after equals rebuild trans... But they are going to throw in some upgrades and install my SYE and DS so hopefully this doesnt happen again. What happened was I bottomed out and the skid got stuck on the mud, like a high center, all 4 wheels were spinning but the Jeep couldnt get traction. expensive lesson...

small video:

didnt do as much recording cause I didnt have enough space on my phone, and I didnt get a recording of me getting stuck >< bummer lol

It was in there deep:

man that sucks about the tranny, after the last 2 trips to corbett i think im going to stay away from the deeper water holes...sticking to mud/sugar sand seem like a much better idea.
