Everglades Abandoned Rocket Complex

Heading out to an abandoned rocket complex on Feb 23 to explore. A few friends and I tried and failed due to one of our group being afraid of us getting stuck. I was sure we could make it without any problems. If anyone wants to go explore this lost piece of space race history chime in. I would love to get bunch of jeeps for a photo shoot and video together.
Here's a video of our first attempt.

Last time we went the deepest water was about a ft with semi hard bottom. I would think 2.5 lift and 35's min

The rally point for this trip would be the Snapper Creek service plaza on the turnpike for those of us on the east coast. Coming from the west coast take tamiami trail to everglades national park. The trailhead is about two miles from the park entrance. Private message me and we can exchange #'s and we'll meet up. So far we have 5 jeeps going.

Only a foot deep wouldn't require 2.5" and 35's...would it?

This sounds like it would be fun!! Take lots of pics!

Water and part of the way though a field. But it was about 2' when we went out and part of it had some big ruts. Only one Jeep did not make it out of 7.

We go to towers now about once ever few weeks. I will post up the next time if any one would like to meet us there.

That's the Nike Missile base. If you look due east of there you'll see the aerojet complex. the road out to that site is blocked we're headed in thru the swamp

Okay guys it's with much regret that I have to cancel this run to the rocket complex just got off the phone with South Florida district water management and they said that anybody caught on that site will be arrested and I don't think it's quite worth any trouble to go there so that being said we're going to have an alternative site for our run to a place called lazy Springs. For the northern and West Coast folks that will be much closer than going down to the Aerojet complex. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and I know nobody wants to get arrested so I think we'll have a good time at our alternative location everybody still wants to attend looking forward to getting together with a lot of other cool people

Well, better safe than sorry.

That in mind, my wife found this on youtube. There's a guy named "Adam The Woo" that roams the US looking abandoned things and he posted a video about this place - he's a bit of a cornball, but you can at least get a glimpse of everything.

I know they used to let people walk into the complex from the road to explore and take pictures. All at own risk. They may be tightening up though since the two murders there last Sept and November.
Lazy springs is fun. Going there in a few weeks. So I'll bow out of this trip.
BTW, I am down in Cutler Ridge. If anyone ever needs help wrenching or wheeling buddy to some spots down here.

Ok fellas I just got word from the Florida Water Management District as if were caught out there at that rocket site were going to be arrested good friend of mine spoke to them to get the lowdown on the availability of the site and it is off limits. Apparently there was a body found out there and that shut it down . We're gonna go to lazy Springs off road park instead if anybody still wants to go with us to meet up I'm sure we'll still have a good time
