The number of jeeps last year was crazy! I don't think they were ready for it. The parade on Sunday is done on the beach. I showed up early and the A1A was packed with jeeps as well as the beach itself. The police were trying to direct people around. I would say 1000 or more jeeps were there without exaggerating.
We are going for the weekend and hope to run the courses

I started a separate thread on Jeep Beach here - Jeep Beach 2014

It'll be easier to keep track of things there instead of clogging up the OP's original thread/question.

I've camped in Anastasia & while not on the beach it's a short walk. You can't drive on the beach in the state part, but just south of it you can. You can drive all the way down to Mantanzas. There is a spot somewhere north (around Fernandina I believe) where you can camp ON the beach, but it's for 1 night only & has very limited camping.
