Hey guys, I'll be going mudding tomorrow or Sunday. If anyone wants to go let me know. Will be and a couple of other guys. And big diesel to pull people out if need be ha ha. Also I just had to replace my passenger side axle seal. So I bought the specialty tool to press the seal in. If anyone ever needs it just ask. PITA with out it.

Greeting Jax area jeepers. I don't have mine yet, but will be ordering a 2013 Commando Green JKUR when allocations open up (within a week!).

I got hooked while taking my folks 99 TJ out to the beach at Peter's Point on Amelia Island all summer.

Be on the lookout this fall for a new hand giving the Jeep wave.

JDG, do you know of anyplace offload around here? Ocala is an hour away and Hardrock is farther! I'd even settle for some dirt roads?

How about Osceola National Forest? It's only about 30-40 away.

Osceola National Forest - Home

I don't know whose crappy video this is, but gives you an idea of the terrain.

Mapquest says that's an hour and 47 minutes away but it certainly is a dirt road.
Thanks but there has to be something closer!

Hard Rock is north of Ocala.

You can probably find some places up around St Mary.

Check with the local jeep club they will be able to tell you.

Thanks JR. iPad map says 1hr 48 min to Hardrock vs 1hr 10 min to Ocala Lake Delancy trailhead. From where I live in St Johns Its a much longer trip. Once I install my front tow hooks (today!) I will plan a Hardrock trip. Next Weekend we are headed to Carolina Adventure World, our ATVs are feeling neglected since we got the Wrangler.
JDG, I'll search for the all trails app. Is it here on WF or on the web?

One of these days I will be back in JAX. Stuck in LA miles from anything.

Live on the Southside, University and San Jose area.

The Osceola Forest is in Baker and Columbia counties and you can access the east side just north of Sanderson. A lot quicker to the mud. Ive made it in 35 mins but no FHP around thankfully.

Jax Welders

Anyone familiar with or recommend a Jacksonville area welder?

I need to get a couple items welded for my Jeep lift and I'd like to go somewhere reputable.

Try Overbuilt Customs on US 1... He does everything.

Huguenot has off-road trails? I've only ridden on some of the bike trails (many years ago), but I didn't realize they had trails you could drive a Jeep on.

edit: I'm thinking of Hanna Park, not Huguenot, that has the bike trails. What's available at Huguenot, is it just beach driving, or are there other off-road trails?

Not so much as trails but you drive on the beach sort of like a big race track driving on the beach is just fun and there is only a couple of places around here you can do it, most of the ride is on hard packed sand but there are a couple of soft fun places , but watch out JSO and lifeguard trucks around enforcing the speed limit, its not trails just sandy beach, and its Huguenot park up past mayport on the other side of the inlet its talbot state park I think but its Huguenot also idk?
