never wheeled up there. went down to st. augustine and played around on the beach though... there's a couple spots to enter. one of them is pretty off-camber. i screwed around there a bit. drew an audience. i guess folks thought i'd flip my rig.. apparently they've never seen what a jeep can do

not that off-camber, but it was fun anyways..

I got the same looks at a store when my impatience lead me over the berm to the main road.

I hope so , we're bringing 2 small dogs. Jeepers don't mind a little poop on their tires.

no.. i didn't take any photos. just me and the old lady screwing around. and i think she was a little irritated with the audience. cause i was getting braver...

one of the photos in my profile is from out on the point of the beach though. near the lighthouse. i tried to get the lighthouse in the background... just real tough to see with the crappy iphone camera...

I thought I read no dogs inside the speedway and vendor areas. Check their website or Facebook link.

This is a quote from their site.....

Are dogs allowed at the event?

a.*No. Due to restrictions with the Speedway, we are only permitted to allow service animals into the event.

I was Hoping they would change the host hotel. There's no place to park there. Went to the resort last year to pick up my packet and had to park 3 blocks away. After all that's what Jeep Beach is all about, to see and be seen.
I heard scuttlebutt that they were looking to change to the LaPlaya hotel and hoped that would happen. Lots of parking and outdoor area there, it accomodates a huge amount of antique cars during the Turkey Rod Run.

I would love to join in. Me and the Mrs are going over Wednesday. Fortunately we will save $$ staying with my mom at her condo in Ormond on the beach. More money for raffle tickets.

heck, i wish i was headed over on Wednesday!

on a side note, i'm going to reach out to mid-florida jeep club and get a recommendation or 2... i'm going to try and coordinate a WranglerForum meet and greet someplace.. ideally something with a large parking lot and perhaps food and drink...

maybe friday afternoon - if the logistics aren't going to be ridiculous. saturday and sunday's agenda are pretty packed. doubt we'd see much...

thoughts?
