honestly the best bet is to look at the agenda they put out and decide what day has the things you're looking to do.

if it's like anything else, i expect the best deals to be had from the vendors will be late saturday and those that are left sunday after the beach parade. they don't want to pack that stuff up....

if its the obstacle course, getting out looking at rigs, and talking with some of the vendors about stuff - then saturday is probably your best bet.

I agree! The parade would be cool, but I'd rather get on the course if possible.

I'm trying. But I have an older bulldogge who's in bad health. Hard to leave him, and two other bulldogges, in anyone else's hands...

For those that have not attended in years past, here is a run-down of some of the events to help you to decide what days to attend (if you can’t be there for the whole thing)

Wednesday night – Meet at a local burger and beer place, great time to meet some of the club members and the diehard Jeep Beach participants. Bring your bug spray, because it’s during the dusk hours. Probably the best part of the experience if you enjoy meeting and talking.

Thursday (all day) – Scavenger hunt, drive around the Volusia County area, and experience what it has to offer – interrupted by multiple beach rides and stopping for suds, The evening ends usually a Hooters, vendors usually start showing up.

Friday (Late afternoon) – At the Host hotel – get there early parking becomes a pain by 5pm, Pick up any merchandise you may have bought online, i.e. T-Shirts, hats etc. The vendors have mini displays set up, if you’re looking to purchase something specific items, probably the best day to do it, as vendors usually have special pricing deals this day. Buy Raffle tickets, and start hoping you win something.

Saturday – Get breakfast before you go, you will find ever Bob Evans, IHOP etc, has tons of Jeeps out front, Gate opens a 9am to get your decal and goody bag. Patience is needed, as not everyone knows what to do, Bring water and something to munch on, plan on spending 45 min getting through the lines. Bring sunscreen, as the infield does not have much shade, Vendors are set up by 10am, and everything is in full swing, multiple obstacle courses depending on your driving capabilities, raffles are all day long. Once you get in and have your decal you can leave and come back at any time, i.e. go get some lunch.

Sunday, Patience, patience, patience, get to the beach access ramp early slather on the sun screen (Non greasy is best because the sand is soft and you will wear some of the beach), it takes a while to get 2000 Jeeps on the beach, pose for a photo and start the parade. Bring Coffee, water and munchies, and prepare to have a sore arm from waving. Ends at noon-(ish), report to the Host hotel and enjoy the crowd, last minute deals can be had at this time.

See ya’ll there.

I'm staying at Holiday Shores in an Ocean Front. A few others from my area will be there along with a bunch of other people I've talked to. We're heading there Friday in our little convoy :-) My dog is being boarded for $20 per night. Not bad & he loves the place!

Nope. They have day passes, though. Beach access for Sunday is covered. When you pull into the line up area, a MFJC member is paying for you. That pass gets you unlimited access to all Volusia ramps for the day.

See ya’ll there.
Last year they shook it up a bit.

Wednesdays are their usual club meet and greets and they alternate between Beef O'Brady's in DeLand and Hooters in Daytona. Last year they kept their weekly meet and greet on track and had it at Hooters. This year the calendar says TBD.

Last year, the Thursday event (after the all day scavenger hunt) was at Daytona Jeep/Dodge. The owner has completely and 100% embraced the event and, among other things, cleared his entire lot of new vehicles and allowed the participants to park there for a cookout, meet and greet and prizes for the hunt. It was pretty impressive.

Friday's event is at the Shores Resort in Daytona Beach Shores (South of Daytona beach on A1A). Plenty of parking there across the street.

Saturday, the key is pace. Eat a good breakfast. The Speedway will allow a cooler with water and snack stuff, but nothing big and absolutely NO alcohol. You'll have a wrist band that allows you to drive the course. If you buy a beer from the speedway vendors, they cut your wristband off. If you bring your own in, you're subject to getting tossed.

When you come in, they park you, but everyone is pretty good about leaving your spot alone so feel free to set up camp.

Once in, you're free to come and go as you please, so I usually leave the infield and grab lunch at one of the many restaurants on ISB.

Gates open at 9, course opens at 10. They close it again later in the day when they do the raffles then open it one last time.

Things to bring:
Camera
Sunscreen
Water
Comfy shoes
Chairs
Easy up canopy if you have one (there's usually enough room to pitch it, just make sure you have anchors for pavement as well as grass)
Corn hole boards are fun and provide a good distraction during down time.
Most vendors accept cards, but bring cash.

Sunday is fun. Except for the 7am lineup. Again, bring a camera because no one will you believe when you tell them how many Jeeps are parked on the beach. Alcohol is NOT allowed on the beach.

During the line up, you've got time to walk between the lines of Jeeps and socialize, check out each other's rigs, take pics and walk in the water. Once it kicks off, you're going at a snail's pace, and at any time you can pull out of line and do your own thing.

The parade ends at the Shores Resort where they have the cookout going (paid for with your registration....make sure you fill out how many people are with you. Rule of thumb....4 seat belts, 4 people, even if you don't plan on bringing that many. Things happen)

I live 30 minutes away from the speedway, but decided to spend Friday through Sunday morning two hotels North of the Resort. Very cool experience talking to people and seeing all the Jeeps up and down A1A. This is our Bike Week.

I plan on being at the Target across from the speedway by 9 am if anyone is interested in meeting and going in together. I'm meeting a group of friends there. Right now it's looking like three Jeeps, but could be 5-6 if the others get off their lazy asses and register.

If there is anyone in the DeLand/West Volusia area that feels like convoying, let me know and we can set up a rally point.

That would be a no go on free access. Sunday morning is free because we're on the beach before the toll booths open.

What's the opinion of maybe having a Florida WF get together one evening at a local restaurant/bar to have some beers and put faces to the avatars and check out our Jeeps?

It's still a TBD status. I've read its usually between Hooters on 92 and Beef o Brady's in Deland.

I'm trying to set something up through Jeep Asylum at World of Beer in Port Orange. Wednesday is best for my schedule, but Thursday could also be doable. As much as I'd like to do Saturday, I know by past experiences I'll be whipped.

If the Wednesday meet and greet at Hooters again, I may skip it. I'm not a huge fan of Hooters (the restaurant, not the body part. I love me some boobies, just not overly fond of their wings or prices). I could also do without Thursday since I won't be able to do the scavenger hunt.

World of beer would work. It's just down the street from my house. WOB has a nice big patio area. I took most of the week off so I'd be game for anything. Got my ear open.
