Thanks for the info, did the parade go north or south from that resort?

I really don't know which way the parade left I believe it was south. It was very unorganized, I think due to the massive turn out. I know we were pushed down A1A south by the police and then we entered the beach heading south I think at the Dunlawton entrance. I think it goes south until you reach the non driving portion of the beach and then the jeeps turn around and go back north until at least The Shores Resort if not further. I know the Jeeps were going in both directions on the beach at one point.

It's not that I don't know north and south it is just that we didn't ever make it to the beginning of the parade because the police were pushing everyone one down A1A.

The link doesn't work sometimes. It took me about 10-20 clicks and then I was able to register.

This will be my first jeep beach and I'm really looking forward to it! We will be staying at the Emerald Shores Hotel from Thursday to Sunday. I think a get together would be a great idea.

A WF get together would be great!

Are a lot of people registering? If I'm not mistaken, the registration is what allows you to do the obstacle course...right?

If you don't register, you can still attend as a spectator I think.

That is correct. So if you're not planning on doing the course then it may not be worth it to register. All though then you won't be able to do the parade.

OK, cool.

We're only running over for the day on Saturday so we wouldn't do the parade anyway.

You are still able to do the parade. There are several beach entrances in the area. You pay to get onto the beach and drive. I think it is 5 dollars a day. You just enter the beach and hop in line in the parade. They don't close off the beach for just jeeps. Could be different this year though

I'm still playing it by ear, whether I will be able to go or not. This will be my first time, so I'm more interested in spectating and taking it all in and possibly doing the parade on Sunday. If I'm able to go, I think I'll just try to hop in line via one of the entrances and just pay the day fee. If I'm not allowed; oh well! This sounds so awesome though!!

Ok Houligan's in Port Orange has a room and it is available that Saturday evening. I was going to shoot for 7 pm as a meet time. There only request is that the people utilizing the room must order food and drinks. They also want a rough head count so they can have staffing. How does this sound. It's about 10 min drive from the speedway.

Comments please I don't want to reserve it and have no one show.
