Jeep shops near Ft Pierce/West Palm?

I am new in the area and looking to possible have some work done on my jeep, looking to have the AEV spacer kit added and possibly the AEV rear tire and bumper carrier. Any recomendations on good shops in the area?

You can try Southeast Jeeps in Palm City. Southeast Jeeps He's more into supplying parts but he does some work. Real good guy and real helpful. Knows his stuff for sure. He does a lot of work for dealers but does some for owners. I'd go to him first and see if he's available.

These 2 I haven't used yet but Jeepoholicx in Stuart Jeepoholicx Customs - Services apparently did the lift on my Jeep before I got it and the guy I bought my TJ from recommends them. Real friendly there and they are the ones who told me about Southeast Jeeps as they didn't have the part I needed at the time.

I'm going to check with CTM Customs - 3289 SE Gran Park Way Stuart, FL 34997 - (772) 781-8110 when I do my regear from 3.73 to 4.88. But that's going to be a while. I know nothing about these guys but I'm going to ask around about them.

I also found a real good CB shop in Ft. Pierce today. Super helpful guy there too and definitely knows his stuff if you are ever in the market for a CB. I'm at work and have his cards in my Jeep outside so I'll post his info a little later tonight when I get home. But he has a lot of stuff in stock and actually keeps parts on the shelf. I live in Jensen Beach and went to 5 places last night trying to find a mount for my Firestik II FS3 antenna but none had it. Found this guy and he had exactly what I needed as soon as I walked in.

I would have posted this earlier but I hardly ever come over to the Florida forum as I stay on the main one. I'm going to start coming here more.

If you're looking to buy parts, Morris 4x4 is located in Pompano Beach (so you can void shipping). As far as installs go, everyone seems to have 'their guy'. I have encountered many shops in south Palm Beach county that love jeeps and will work with you.

That CB shop in Ft. Pierce is

Cobra CB Sales & Service
cobracbsales.com
2925 S. US1, Fort Pierce 34981
772-332-5021

As I mentioned before, real friendly guy there and knows his stuff inside out...and has a lot of inventory.

Just an update here...I think this CB guy may be bi-polar or something!! Went back there today to get him to tune my radio to my antenna as I could not find a store to buy an SWR meter yesterday to do it myself (he told me Friday to come back when I got it all installed and he would do the SWR). Man, the guy was completely different. He was having a bad day apparently and was cranky as hell and pretty damn miserable to be honest! All he did was say what a POS my Cobra 19 radio is and that's it's not even really a Cobra. He didn't even touch the antenna adjustment at all as he said it's not going to work with that radio. I told him that several guys on this forum have that same radio and love it. He just rolled his eyes, so I just left!

I'll just get all future CB stuff online from blueparrotsales on ebay as they are in Florida and it arrives in one day anyway. Just wanted to post something in case someone goes there and catches him on an equally bad day. Didn't want you to think I'm nuts by saying he was a friendly guy.

FYI...for CB parts and accessories in the Stuart/Ft/ Pierce area, a much better place to go rather than that Cobra Sales guy (Red Ryder) is Flying J at 100 North Kings Hwy, I-95 Hwy 68 Exit 131, Fort Pierce, FL 34945 (772) 461-0091. Shot up there this afternoon to get a HD spring fro my antenna and they have a pile of stuff there. Love's across the street from them also gas a lot of stuff but pretty much the same products. Either one is a lot friendlier than the mad man at Cobra Sales!!

Figured you would find what you needed. If you ever want to tinker with the SWR's a little more let me know. I'll just drop the meter off at your house.

Thanks very much, Wayne! ...and thanks again for all your help on Friday. I got the heavy duty stainless steel spring as you suggested and it was a great tip as the antenna doesn't beat against the top at all. It actually seems like it even moves less than before I had the spring. In any case, all is good with it now.

BTW...I blew my air compressor immediately after leaving your place on Friday! Smelled something strange as I was leaving and turned out it was me...in case I left a trail when I left! :-) Clutch froze right up and smoked like hell. Thought I had a fire til I lifted the hood. Sat out there by the entrance to your place for 15 minutes and let things cool off then drove home with the AC off. Put a shorter belt on it yesterday morning to by pass the AC for now. I'll get her fixed soon but scared the hell out of me when it first happened. Interesting weekend!

Wow.
At least nothing real serious. Although no AC in Florida could be considered serious.

Yes. Traffic lights have become even less un-fun now. It's toasty out there in Florida in August!! Not so bad in motion and have discovered that the top makes a lot less noise with the windows down, so it's not all bad. In the past, whenever the windows were down, I also had the top down.
