Lake Mary on Saturday?

Hey guys,

Was reading this thread and was wondering if anyone would be interested in going to check it out this weekend.

I know it's short notice, but my wife and I were thinking about heading up there to check it out. We may get there and it'll be all fenced off or something but who knows. If you Google map "tilted kilt lake mary", and look to the north on the east side of I-4, you'll see a fairly large area with trails all through it.

From the other thread -

Directions are I-4 to lake Mary exit east. Left at Primera stop light, Tilted Kilt is on the corner. Go about a mile and pass 2-3 large gray office buildings and you'll see a turn off on the left that ends at the woods, go about a few hundred yards past to a second road apron that also ends at the woods but there's tire tracks leading into the woods. follow this trail veer to the right until you come upon a warehouse parking lot, then veer to the left on an obvious dirt trail That will lead to a small steep hill go up the hill and turn either left or right. Theres good wheeling either way.

Had to winch my buddy out of the mud hole.
Hope i didn't give away anybodys "honey hole" but we have a serious lack of places to go wheeling so I thought I'd share. Have fun.

I am local (Altamonte Springs) and wouldn't mind checking this out sometime. Anyone close that wants to check it out PM me.

I'm tied up this weekend but we'll have to post up something and plan a Saturday ride soon.

Sounds good. Looking to get out to hardrock in Ocala too. Trying to find some actual trails.

Same here!

Seems the local Orlando is pretty dry when it comes to local places to go...then again, maybe I'm spoiled in that when we lived in TN, Windrock wasn't very far at all and we could spend days there and not be on the same trail twice.

How is it out there? With all this rain, I expect it to be fairly muddy!

We're headed to the Boat Show on Saturday so I'll have to skip it. Post up the next time you go and I'll make plans to be there!

It's also used by dirt bikers. It's fun--no rocks though. Some small hills, some tight areas through the woods, etc. Nothing hardcore, but being less than 2 miles from my house, I'll take it

Well hit the trails yesterday. Really nothing to get excited over. Lots of sugar sand, some hill climbs. I didn't really see any mud or rocks. Great place for atvs and dirtbikes though. Only plus really being I can get there in 10 minutes so if I just have the itch it's very convenient. I talked to some guys that said the cops will come out there from time to time and run you off. Mainly if there is garbage and trash building up. It looks like people go back there to dump yard waste, matresses, etc.
