Has anyone been to either nw 41 st or 8 and 137 ave recently? From what I've read those are the two closest trails in Miami. I want to get out there soon and check them out.

Any info on these locations would be appreciated.

It's been about a month since the last time I went to 8th and 137ave. When it's been dry like it has been recently, you can easily go out there in 2wd and have some fun. Sometimes if you go a little bit deeper, that's when you get into the really harry stuff. Never been to 41st though. I'm usually available in the afternoon/evening but, if you ever want to just go explore and need someone to go along with, go ahead and PM me.

Well I've been to 8th and 137 like twice, and I sort of know my way around. I have my spot lights and my head lights so I don't mind being lead vehicle. If you guys are up for just doing some scoping around I'd definitely be up for it I'll be cool with a night ride. The parts that get real nasty are deeper into the area, which I wouldn't go into at night, but the majority of the parts that I know are mainly trail like and they're not bad at all (went out one day in my buddy's 2wd f250 and he only got stuck on a big mound of dirt because he's an idiot who didn't listen to me telling him to go around it). If anything we can go, take a look around and if you guys see something you don't like then we'll turn around and go back. I'm on vacation too but I have to work some days out of the week.

I just really want to go offroad lol

lol ok so someone has to take the lead... so jku you are flexible, arod you can only do weekends and calrain you are on vacation like me so lets do it on the weekend so arod can make this trip. im good on whichever day sat or sun. i would prefer day riding and im sure the rest of us would since we are new to this. so what time do you guys think would be good? also what do you need to take iv heard you need tow rope, radio etc... any info on this.

With the time change we have sunlight until well after 7. With that said I am also eager to get out there for the first time and scope out the area. If anyone can go this week after 12:00pm let me know and I'm there. We can always set up another weekend ride when everyone is available.

Edit: I have a 20ft tow rope and suggest each person bring one if they have it.

I can go on thursday, I have that day off, 11 sounds good for me, should have my winch installed by today hopefully. Yeah any tow rope really, I don't expect it to be used to much as long as you don't go jumping into the nastiest hole out there. Bring my hi lift too just in case.

I'd suggest some water/drinks, some snacks probably like jerky or something. Doubt we'll be out there for long but always better to be safe than sorry. Spare tire, simple tools. And above all else, even though it seems obvious, DON'T LEAVE THE COMMON SENSE AT HOME. You don't know how many problems can arise from not using a little common sense.
