North Central Florida Jeep mechs

I'm planning on lifting my Jeep in the spring and I don't have the tools nor a garage to do the work myself. Does anyone know any reliable mechanics close to the Gainesville area that I could trust with that project? I want to find someone that knows what they're doing with Jeep suspensions so that I can have some peace of mind.

Are you buying it or need help with purchase and installation?

It makes a difference who I would recommend for you.

There are 2 I would recommend:

Southern Custom in Alachua talk to Ryan 386-462-1367 can help you decide on lift.

Computa-Tune in Gainesville off 34th and Archer talk to either Kevin or Jeff 375-0233 can install any lift you want at the best price.

I use both and have been very happy with everything.

David

I think I've already decided what I'm buying and where from, but I'm always open to educated opinions. I'm really looking for someone who knows what they're doing as far as the install. I'll give them both a call and see what they recommend. Thanks!

What ever you do, do not go to earnies southern 4x4! I've had way too many friends with bad experiences there and I'm from that area. But I live in Ocala now, if you want really good work, check out total performance they do great work and majority of their work is jeeps. South 441 almost to bellview not to far from gville

I'd be interested to hear about your experience. I'm in GNV also and looking for someone to put a leveling kit and new wheels/tires on a 2011 JK I just bought.

Things have changed a little bit. I've been moding the crap out of my jeep and doing everything myself so far. Just installed a 1 inch body lift on it two weeks ago and it wasn't that hard. I'm gonna attempt the suspension lift on my own now.

Take drive over and talk to them.

Worth it.

I will throw in my recommendation for Southern Customs. They did my jeep lift and I am going to have them do my truck next month. They are reasonable and do good work. Ryan spent plenty of time talking about options from the cheapest to the most expensive and just wanted to sell me what worked best. It was done on time for the price quoted.
