That sounds great, (what are tagging cards?)

Me and a few buddies a couple years back went out there and 3 cops showed up in their trucks and searched our Jeeps and we were told if we ever went back then we'd get arrested for tresspassing. There were all kinds of trails though.. It was a Jeep Heaven for sure.
The area is huge and has several entrances, the one we went in on was at exit 13 off I-10. I had asked a couple of people that were already down in there, they said it was private property but they had never seen cops down in there. Will and I spoke to another guy and his wife (had the Call of Duty jeep) he said that he had heard that sometimes cops do come down, but will just ask you to leave if the find you down there. I spoke to my boss about it, (he's lived in Mobile for a long time) he said the property is owned by the Mobile County Schools System. And that it starts from the Tillman's corner exit and goes all the way to the state line of Mississppi.

That place, I think folks refer to it as "the pit," is pretty cool. I wish people wouldn't dump their crap everywhere, though.
I keep thinking about that big arse hill...kinda dwelling on it. I'm gonna have try it one day.

Yeah, the pit is the place I'm referring to. Went out there a few times back in high school for some parties then we took our Jeeps out there during the day and that's when the cops showed up. They were really pissed that we were there

By the way does anyone on here do any single track biking? I rode the Gulf Power/ UWF trails the other day. It was a blast lost of jumps and little obstacles to play around with.

^I sold mine. I was in Petaluma, CA for almost a year at school and biking is huge there. Everyone at work talks about it but nobody has actually stepped up so I haven't gotten another.

Yes I did find some trails up there close to the river, it was all pretty flat, and only 2 mud holes. I didn't find anything in that area worth going back for.. If you notice any local jeepers while you're out and about around Milton, perhaps they can turn us on to new places.

I've heard there's a lot but most of them are private property. I've seen a few dirt roads but haven't had time to do any exploring yet. I'll def ask around and let y'all know if I find anything good!

Hey guys, total newb here. I already tried to post something on here but I'm not seeing it now so I apologize if you see this twice. New to the Pensacola area and new to the Jeep thing. Just purchased my first wrangler 3 weeks ago. I would love to try a little offroading, nothing too crazy, just some beginner stuff. Also I can't wait to start modding. Again, total newb so I'd love to meet up and ride and pick y'all's brains on the topic. Is anyone available to get out sometime this week? Any help is much appreciated.

Hey, Welcome. I'm going through withdrawls for a trail ride of sorts. I've got to get my oil changed today though, and need to get my tire rotated soon. may have some time this afternoon.

Haha sorry. I just reread my last post which was a little redundant but between the cowboy game and the wife I was a little distracted. Anyways, off tomorrow and would love to get the new ride a little dirty.

Here is teh link to the river road trails
https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...0.1467,0.31929

zthomas get 500 miles on your jeep before you go wheeling. I went wheeling 4 days after I got my Jeep and I had to take her to the dealership for my soft top..they weren't too enthused with all the mud that was left even though i washed it a ton.

River roads trails are probably going to be the closest to you or Eglin. You have any pics of your JK yet?

Will it snow in early december in northern AL? My dad will be here wanted to go wheel in the snow

I've got pictures but not sure how to post them to this forum. I've already put 1,000 mi. on it because I love driving the thing. I took it to the Perdido River Wildlife management area and got a little mud on it a couple of weeks ago. I think I might try to find those River road trails this afternoon. My issue now is I don't know what the limitations are of a jeep. I don't want to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere with no winch to get myself out of trouble. I figure those trails should be alright as long as I don't hit any monster mud pits right?

isnt river roads/perdido water the same thing?

I did river roads with TJNewbie...he knows all the trails really good. It wasn't really muddy when I went and with the 3.6 4hi without a problem all the way through. I was stuck in some pretty deep mud at my friends house but the new 3.6 has a lot behind it. I traded my 2010 with the 3.8 and it's night and day.

do you have the sport, sahara, or rubi? With the sport/saharas I would be a little more careful.

here is a pic after running those trails. for some reason I just couldn't get mud to stay on the jeep

Yes, I'm still going. I'll meet you at the Oasis truckstop around 11ish. If I'm not in my Jeep when you get there, I'll be inside grabbing a sub sandwich.
