I think your "pretty stock" jeep did a fine job today, so what did you think of the trails?

Nice! I still haven't washed mine, maybe this afternoon. It was good meeting you, glad you came out and had a good time! We'll have to go out again.

Must have been the other crew from Mobile Jeep Club, we had our doors on yesterday, as much as I wanted to take my doors and top off. I think it was best to have them on cause the jeeps got Real Muddy! I got some big mud clumps inside my jeep 'cause I had my windows down on my 1st pass through the mud field

Who did you take it to? I've got to have a new one installed sometime next week?

Try asking on the forum, tell them you just went mudding, perhaps it's a common thing, with an easy fix.

Yes I'm fixing it myself. I just finished putting a new u joint in it late last night now i just have to put it back on the jeep after work. If anyone needs their U-joint replaced let me know. I have the special C-clamp tool from harbor frieght that makes the removal and installation a fraction of the time

I've heard Mean Green starters are good. You would have to order it online and they are kind of pricey. If not just a regular old autozone starter should get the job done.

Glad it went well for you. I'll try to keep that in mind about the C-clamp tool.

I'm up for next weekend too. (this weekend coming up) I'm not sure I can swing Eglin though. I have some extra bills coming in August. (it's not the just permit fee but the gas to drive all the way out to Niceville to get the permit, plus the permit fee, plus the gas for wheeling and getting back)

I think the info is on the website but I'm pretty sure you have to have the person info, like birthdate, address and drivers license. I will check with a few people and get back

Found something.

You can also get the permit by mail. Pay by money order, cashiers check, or personal check (no cash) made payable to DFAS-LI Eglin AFB.
The address is:
Eglin Natural Resources Branch
107 Highway 85 North,
Niceville, FL 32578

Nope not yet. They thought the problem was the starter so I had a new one installed again and it hasn't been fixed. I have an appointment to drop it off at the dealer again tomorrow but I should (better!) have it back by the weekend.
