I was plannin' on the Milton area, but if there are people that want to do the River Road area, that's fine with me, at least I know what to expect out there. with the Milton trails I don't know if there's much out there yet.

I highly recommend the iPhone app everytrail. I used it to track my route and it's pretty sweet. You can also upload and share trails and pictures.
So, you got some mud on the tire?

I've seen people out there with minivans on the sand bars, and they got thru it some how, maybe if he knew what side of the mud hole is best to go through he wouldn't have had a problem.

I'll try that app, as soon as I get my smart phone (end of aug)

yea buddy. One hole went up to about middle of my bumper....i have a 4" lift too. Climbed right through it but I have no idea how that ranger made it...i'm thinking he used a good bit of speed. He was kind of a jerk, probably didn't like seeing new folks out there.. he had few teeth.

I didnt make it up to the north end with the water crossing. I'll have to do that next time.

I'm pretty comfortable doing either, usually though I like checking a trail out b4 taking people out that are new with their jeeps, never know if it's gonna be a boring trail, or too extreme. But if everyone is up for some 'new trail exploration' then I'll definetly enjoy the company. I guess we could plan on the Milton trails, then if it doesn't pan out, we could always go back and do the Perdido River trails.

How does everyone else feel about it?

Yep I know the mud hole you're talking about, that's the one of me in the pic, 'cept I went around the side of the hole. If I'm out there with someone that has a winch, I'll go through the middle, but it can be deep at times.

I guess I've been lucky, I haven't seen a ranger (that I know of).

Do you still have your DW problem? I was thinking about it today, if you used a pressure washer to do the underside of the jeep, you might have blown out all the lube in your control arm pivot points, that might cause a mild DW too.

Yeah I relubed all the pivot points 7 or 5 of them and rotated and balanced the tires so now I'm moving in to ether the steering stabilizer or track bar.

Either is fine with me. If a lot of people go I think it would be better to do river road since we already know what's there.

Ok, well let's plan on the river road on Saturday, 11:30ish at the truckstop again. That way Ezekiel97 can try out his new JK, and we can show Will around all of the trails, and anyone else that wants to tag along.

Of course, it's fine That's one of the reasons for going, to get everyone familiar with doing some easy off road stuff in their jeeps, and to meet people, finding some trail buddy's to run with.

I have a tow/recovery chain, I know it would be better to have a strap, but the chain is all I have for now.

There's a Subway sandwich shop in the truckstop, they do pretty good subs. could get one and toss it in a lunch bag (just a thought)
