Well, I don't know what to say about the mud with all of this rain that we've had there's bound to mud anywhere we go. And it always seems that "Mud Happens" whenever I go trail riding

Sorry to hear 'bout that. Prolly should go to one of those "Jeep savvy" mechanics that Kaila uses-PB automotive on navy blvd. or Centerfieldr162 uses- Steve's Offroad in Mobile, AL.

PB is for Paul Brown. Sorry I probably should have specified that to begin with. If you end up going there just tell him you know me and he will hook you up.

I feel like a punk for saying that but I had a big scoop of wet mud right in the intake...not quite sure how it got there haha. Glad I didn't hydro lock.

I saw a pic of another JK, and it showed how vunerable that air box is to mud and water, so now I see what you're talking about. maybe you could wrap some "cheese cloth" over the opening to keep the heavy stuff out, just for trail riding.

Well it's designed so that water will get
stuck in a trap kinda like a p-trap on a toilet. Glad to see how much can get in there before being a problem.

Y'all have inspired me. I'm taking the 150 up tomorrow!

I got a late start, but I did go to Milton. While it was enjoyable as a day in the woods- on the trails. There weren't any obsticles to speak of and only 2 mud holes. Mostly flat trails, average speed for me, alone on the trails was 25 to 30mph. I mapped out (by hand and GPS) the whole place in about 3hours. I'm begining to think that the best "close to home" wheeling place is the Forever Wild/Perdido river trails

Katelyn might be by but she posted up on another forum about getting a Jeep club started. I know there are some guys on Jeepforum. I don't know how anyone feels about Mobile Jeep club but she did throw up the idea of starting a club. I'd be down for it.

I know everyone's busy but this would be a cool place to go to

If the club were based over here in Lower Baldwin County, then yes I'd be interested. I'm wanting to make a trip out to B-n-B too sometime.

I've never been in a jeep club, but I've been with a few biker clubs. While in the club you've got people to do those things like have events where all can do cookouts/cook-offs (best chilli), tinker days, camping/riding trips, parties, then there's events for raising $$ for charities. There's also another option; perhaps we could start a Chapter, we could be part of MJC, or ECJC, but have our "group" out of Baldwin County, or Eastern Shores. That way we can do our meetings on this side, and when there's a jeep day of sorts like topless or whatever, the 2 groups can meet up.

I'm planning on going out to the Perdido River trails today, but first my brother and I have some hedge trimming to do at my parents house in Gulf Breeze, so it'll be around noon before we get out there. If anyone wants to tag along, you're welcome. I'll check back here a few times b4 we head out. I've got texting capabilities now (new phone), for those of you that have my cell#

It's called everytrail and its an apple app. I have it on my iphone.

check out everytrail . com

It looks like they have an android app too. It's a gps mapping/sharing app that lets you record your trip with waypoints and pictures. You can upload your trip so others can use it, too. I made one the first time I went to River rd. I used my same username: williard86.

Its pretty easy to use. I've been thinking about upgrading to the everytrail pro version.

That blows! You've had some bad luck man. Are you sure it's the infamous pentastar cylinder (or whatever) tick?

yeah passenger side, loss of power, small decline in mpg. A guy in my apartments has a 13 and i asked to hear his engine and my tick is the tick. I probably won't get my jeep out on the trail for while. The 12s have the little kid bar under the tranny and they really skimped on skids.
