Soon to be New Panhandle Owner

Hello all, this is my first post. Getting ready to order my first jeep and tear up the Eglin reservation. Wonder if anyone can point me to a good dealer to work with in the FWB, Pcola, Panama City, Mobile Alabama area. Several of the dealers around this area have a bad rap as far as service goes on the local fishing forum. Just want to do business with the more reputable ones.

Thanks
Greg

I recently had a good buying experience at Hill - Kelly in P'cola. However your mileage may vary.

My dealer (Don Dawson Jeep) was bought out by Hill-Kelly. I know the Milton dealer has supported the various Jeep Clubs - White Sands and Emerald Coast.

The Lee Jeep I used to (reluctantly) use in FWB is gone and now his brother has the Jeep franchise - also in FWB -and also Lee. Confused yet? lol

I have no service experience with any other dealers.

Got a decent deal on a 2014 Sahara JK at the Dealer in Foley, Al. About 2% under invoice. It's on order and should be delivered by EoM Feb, I hope. Now the wait begins

Congrats on the new ride... I remember ordering mine in 1999, the wait was intolerable lol

Thanks all. As soon as I get my jeep, my goal is to find the Eglin reserve route from Fort Walton to 87 north of Navarre. I heard it can be done, but never tried it. I work on Eglin and live in Navarre and sometimes traffic on 98 can get backed-up for hours. Not sure if it would be faster, but sure it will beat sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. Has anyone done this?

I did it w/o a map and got turned around a few times, probably entered 1-2 areas I shouldn't have, and put some scratches on my F-150.

I really should try it in the Jeep with a range map and GPS lol.

One problem is that by the time you know 98 is stalled, you aren't near any access points - at least when heading westbound. Hoping that the new overpass at Hurlburt alleviates the "normal" congestion.

We've been doing the Navarre - Eglin commute for 14yrs... isn't getting any shorter lol
