South Florida Dealers?

I am at the early stages of getting ready to buy my first Wrangler Unlimited and noticed that we have very few choices in South FL. EVERYONE seems to carry Sports, but I was looking for a Sahara or Rubicon with specific features (black with black leather for one). Does anyone have any good or bad expreiences with any dealers in the South Florida region (preferably North Broward)?

I know most dealers won't budge much on pricing, but I figured I'd ask.

Also, has anyone had any good or bad experiences in ORDERING a Jeep in this area? I have to admit that the Rubicon X has caught my eye and I feel that locating one in this area is NOT going to be easy.

As far as the buying Experience went for me, The only Jeep Dealer that Felt Right to me was "North Broward Subaru Chrysler Jeep" on Federal in Pompano. My Salesman was Gregory Farnsworth, ASK for Him, let me know how he treats ya. I am going to use him again myself when I go to buy my Wife her New JK in the spring time, Tax Return Purchase down payment

I can tell you this, I know I didn't get a Great Deal, I don't think I got screwed either. I think I was treated with respect that we all deserve. I paid what the Jeep was worth and got a very good trade in on my 2008 Ford F150. I took the Ford to CarMax, had them give me a written trade in value quote. I used that for leverage when dealing with the Jeep dealer. They came very close to what CarMax offered me. Enough so that I took it. They did offer to drive me to CarMax so I could sell to them, then bring me back to buy their Jeep.

I went to Sawgrass Jeep, got a lousy vibe there. The salesman that got me was horrible. Gave me the attitude like I wasn't a buyer, and that he was wasting his time with me. He was wrong, cause I bought 2 days later.

I have also been back to Broward Jeep a few times for Service, Warranty fixes, they treated me great, for a dealer that is

Good to hear-Pompano Jeep is first on my list. I did go there several years ago when I was test driving a Commander, but at that some they had waaaay more Jeeps on the lot as they do today. Thanks for the connection.

Don't forget, if you see a jeep at a different dealer, but hated the salesman, but like the salesman at your current dealer, tell them you saw a jeep somewhere else, and ask if they can get it for you.

Good luck in your search.

I posted this in another thread:

Ok, so I've been doing some research and am tired of going in to dealerships and having to teach THEM what a Rubicon X is, how to remove the top, difference in stereo systems, etc.

I live in South Florida and am willing to drive 250 miles to get the right deal. Rubicons (let alone Xs) are far and few In this area. I pretty much have settled on a black Rubicon X with a few bell and whistle add ons and have been pre-approved for a 1.99% loan from my credit union. I have a 2006 Ford Expedition King Ranch with 81k that I will either trade, sell to Car Max, or try selling on my own (1st time).

Now what? Do I build it from jeep.com and start emailing all dealers in the lower 1/2 of Florida? If so, what is the best way to approach it? In other words, what should be my "demands"? I understand, of course, that there is more wiggle room when you are taking their inventory off of their lot. I have never tried buying a vehicle in the past through the internet--I just do not have the time to drag wife and kids to 5+ dealers on 5+ weekends and have to sit through the B.S. for something that is not the right color, model, etc. Moreover, is it better just going through a broker?

Jeep has been my dream-vehicle since a teen and I want to do this right. This forum has been extremely helpful and I look forward to and appreciate the responses!

not sure if your still looking but i would completely AVOID AND RUN LIKE HELL from broward and dade and palm beach dealers.... they are all just way to shady and their prices are ridiculous.

I drove 4 hours to sanford florida to pick mine up 3 weeks ago and it was well worth the trip. i highly recommend Fields Auto in sanford, they know their stuff, you will get a REALISTIC price, and you'll also deal with great people.

Friends with owner of Kendall Jeep by Tamiami Airport, Hector. Great guy and great dealership. Bought my 2013 JKUS there in February. Painless. Great service. They already replaced the recall lines.

I agree, I had a deal on the table at Arigo and they all of the sudden without ever any mention pulled the Dealer fee and added to the agreed deal. I had already traded in my car and was there to drive the Jeep I had selected out, I am talking about two weeks of going back and forth then the push on the fees. I walked out literally because I was dropped off. I would never go back again. I drove four hours north to Flagler Jeep in Palm Coast and got a really good deal on the same Jeep without the dealer fee and about a grand less money.

I LOVE how they have the same commercial every holiday or sale. " whatever amount you put down we match it" also i called inquiring about a price on a wrangler around june. they claim they can't give you a price via phone or email.... as i said OOOK thanks for your time a day later they were calling me about an appointment to come in and talk to someone. then i thought to myself when did I make an appointment with them? i never did.

people are a joke regardless of how big their inventory is....

I drove up from near West Palm Beach to fields. Traded my 13 in on a 14 and all over the phone. Ended up not being to get there till the next week. The one I made the deal on had been sold. Kevin Stewart worked all day to find me one and pick it up from another dealer.
I would not hesitate to buy from Fields Jeep again.

Ok, I originally emailed Brian at Fields, but he had another sales agent contact me. I will say that he is not very attentive and his emails are either form letters full of blank spaces ("I am so glad you reached out to me regarding the . I will do my very best to make you happy in your new .") or FULL of typos and errors. Plus the work order sent back to me was full of things I didn't ask for. (I asked for the 730n package, the work order had the 430n on it). When I shot him an email back, he said he didn't include any radio--just the basic one (?!?). This is on a Rubicon X request.....(?)

Needless to say I am a bit apprehensive based on emails alone. I have cc'ed Brian on the emails, but he has not stepped in yet.

I would call him if i were you. i dealt with him for almost 6 months straight, he was constantly informing me on changes and updates. he always answered his emails in a timely manner. i didnt check your location, but i can honestly say if you want a wrangler and you don't want to get ripped off. go to him and the fields dealership.
