A lot of people bring pets, you could try hooking the leash to the roll bar in the center… I would put a body collar on if you have one. or put his door on.

Tabber02, sorry I didn't make it. Sorry to say, I simply forgot that last Friday was a S&S nite. Got tied up doing chores... Hope to make next month..

no worries... i didn't make it either... i was up in Ocala looking for some new legal spots to wheel with fljeepleo and lonewolf05...

we didn't get home till around 7ish.. and truthfully - i didn't feel like sitting around the steak and shake parking lot. we'll be there next month, hopefully we can put a charge back into attendance. otherwise our outlook for the future (as a group) is bleak!

Maybe try for a small meeting and then some Night wheeling. I bet that would bring out a lot more people. I would love to come down, but it's hard to justify a 1.5hour trip to sit in a parking lot.

I thought it was always a meeting with wheeling afterward.

nope... until we get R-pit opened back up, we're not doing any night rides (it was right down the street from the Steak and Shake).

a lot of tight trails and a lot of new pinstripes on my jeep.

it was a lot of fun. different type of wheeling... not really any obstacles or anything... aside from fallen trees that we had to move, go around or go over... but it was a lot of fun.

i'd like to go back up there. it's more overland wheeling and exploring than anything. i had a blast, but i'd like to wait for late fall or winter to head back up there.... less rain, and some of the underbrush should be gone...

lol ya.....i hate the tight trails...i mean i don't care about scratches all that much, but id rather not get them....and some of the best trails are stuck in between tree's....lol

Funny how most places consider summer to be the wheeling season. It seems here in Tampa wheeling season is in winter. We just have to be different lol. I'll bring my machete to help clear the trails

Yea lol, we had a machete and an axe. It was def interesting! Chainsaw is def needed for that kind of riding, otherwise you spend a lot of time trying to cut down trees and lose patience! 😝

So, in all seriousness, how do you find these trails? Are they part of a specific forest or are you just seeing some trees on the side of the road and go for it?

There are actual specific jeep trails lots of them and you can easily get side tracked into a 4 wheeler trail... Lots of fun though

I was surprised how well the trails are marked. but our maps sucked. that was the challenge. having fljeepleos navigation system was a huge help. a lot of the fire roads and jeep trails where marked in his mapping system!

otherwise we'd have been a lot worse off. better maps next time for sure!

How are the fire roads quality? Flooded? any I should avoid if I end up going out by myself one day just to explore?
