Looks like my Jeep won't be back on the road by then. Hit a snag with the steering upgrade so I have to wait until I can afford the parts.

Got a group of jeeps going on the 22nd to hard rock. Three of them are stock sports. I haven't been up there yet, will they have fun there or am I going to constantly be pulling them out? I don't mind either way but I want them to have a good time. All of them are first time jeepers. I did a lot of trail riding in Ocala like 10 years ago but I haven't been to hard rock

Are non lifted jeeps suitable for hard rock?

they'll be okay. there's stuff out there for everyone. there are spots where they could get into trouble, but they should be fine. just remember to tell the group there is an entry fee to the park... might also want to suggest packing lunches or bringing a small grill and hanging out and grilling in between some of the trail runs.

december 22 right? any room for others who'd like to join?

When you guys drive up 75, what speeds are you running? My yj is fairly slow on the interstate.

Last time I did a run up to Inverness, I told everyone in the convoy they had to keep it under 55. They did, and it was good even with my bigger tires and stock gears.

I'd love to do one of these runs with you guys. I'll keep my eyes open on the threads for possible meet ups. 55mph sounds pretty nice. lol

yep.. i'm not really out for any land speed records. i try to keep things between 55 and 65 max.

poker runs, wheeling or just plain old driving anywhere...

sounds like we could have a pretty cool forum run up to Ocala...

55-65 is perfect for us. It would be nice to get a convoy up there and meet some wheelers in the area. I'm in Land O Lakes, we could all meet near SR56 or 54 and I75 that morning unless there is someone further north than me. If anybody has any qualms about the interstate we could take 301 all the way up if need be. Should be a good weekend for wheeling!

looking forward to it. isn't there a rest stop somewhere past 54 or 56? might not be a bad spot to meet up. lots of folks in the SCFL live over in PINEllas... so we typically meet at the rest stop right where 75 and 275 meet.

you tell me, i'm game for meeting up just about anyplace along the way. i'm in ybor, if anyone wants to meet up a little earlier along the way.. PM me or CB channel 5 works...

I'll drive by and check if its open, I know they have been refurbishing it. That sounds like a good meeting spot. Its North of 56 before 54. Thats works good for where my folks are coming from.

There is a group of folks going to Hardrock on the 8th an 9th. I am going on Sunday the 9th, meeting at the Racetrack station right off of the exit at 9:30am. One of the guys negotiated $5 off so it will be $20 if you are part of the group.

Wish I could do that trip too but I'm working that weekend. Take pictures and post when you get back!
