no matter what i'm going out around 9 or 10 i'll find something and make it work. but just going out there is good enough for me. i haven't had a day off in about a month and i can relax and enjoy myself out there. even by myself. but its always better with more
My father and I are down in Miami, I've wanted to take him up there so he can take his TJ out also but it's an hour or more drive so I'm wondering if it's be worth it with the closures you guys are mentioning
i think it would be worth it if a bunch of others went that way people could meet each other, and it would be easier to puy yogeather rides. but if you never have been there its also worth it in my opinion. its a nice place to get away and you can always find something to play in
we'll be meeting at the south entrance (off seminol) at 10am and then going to the powerlines right off main grade to play for about 30 min to see if there are anyone running late. if you want pm me and i'll send you my # a few poeopl already pm me and said they will be there. hope to see more of youa great way to meet people for future rides
Not sure if i can make it. If i can i maybe a hair later. I can meet up with u all. I was actually out there today for a bit. Note it is hunting season so we are restricted to tomato grade and trail 6. Few months back trail 6 was deep under water but today it was pretty dry. A few puddles to splash but not extreme. Made it to the end of trail 6 where it splits along the canal. South is nothing. Didnt go far north but didnt see much. Didnt explore tomato. Gonna check what areas are open for hunting to avoid. Bring some orange .
Also as for the powerlines off of stumpers, it has a bit of water but was full of trucks and trailers for the buggies. Also a few months back i was playing in there and fwc buggie stopped me to inform me i was not allowed in there as there was no active hunt and i only have the recreation license.
Hope i can see you all out there at some point. Should also know im stock sans doors and roof so i am a bit slow and steady as opposed to balls out splashing
during hunting they really dont bother you at the power lines as long as your not near parked trucks. but really just plan on using it as a 2nd meeting point, since they realy dont like people sitting up front. but its good news that 6 has dried up some
Also for Tomato, there is no clear designation as to when tomato ends and 3 begins (except for the fork) when you are out there so if we happen to go too far and end up somewhere down 3 . . . well we just got lost Thats was the rational we used last time. Went tomato to 3 till we hit a massive water hole that was a bit too deep for a stock yj and I
Had a great time. water level was way down but there were still a few puddles to splash in. Also a few impassible areas on trail 4 where we had to backtrack. I was a bit conservative on my splashing but was quite happy how well my stock jeep did. jeepinthrough was a mudding beast. I'll try to get some pics up later tonight of you slinging mud.
I had those a few years back on my XJ . Great offroad tire.
that they are, and they're not too bad on the street either for a bias tire. i need to put 36s on it but i'm trying to wait and see if i'm going too lift it any more first. but i'm trying to keep this one for on the road and light trail rideing
