I am buying my first Wrangler soon, but I can't decide on which package to get. I live in Chicago so keep that weather in your mind. The two features I am stuck between are either the 9 speaker alpine sound system or the cold weather group. The alpine sound system also cost $1200 more. Thanks

Funny enough, I currently live in Florida and still enjoy the seat heaters on those cold mornings. I also used to live in Chicago, and after owning a Jeep with seat warmers, having them would be a requirement if I lived somewhere where it snowed.

Additionally, I also have the Alpine system and I'd highly recommend it over the stock system if you don't have plans to upgrade the speakers yourself.

Oh, and get remote start so that the Jeep can warm up while you finish up your coffee inside your house! As a note though, the remote start won't turn on seat warmers :-(

Personally, I'd go with the cold weather package, as it gets you things that are more functional and better tires. It's pretty much worth it for the tires alone IMO.

Of course, while I like music, I'm not a big sound system guy. But all that stuff is available aftermarket, no? (and probably better than factory).

I'd also go with the 3.73 gears and Trac Lock before the stereo as well.
