74 CJ, nice . . . . I am not sure why, because I really like the YJ, but have been watching Craigs List for a descent CJ myself. I am finding out there are not many out there. Many of the ones on Craigs List have been pretty much restored, not that I wouldn't like one but the price is up there too. Looked at 2 CJ's before I got the YJ this spring, and unfortunately both had extensive frame (damage) rust, the one in particular had the 304 w/headers, owner said he just had the headers professionally installed and engine tuned up at Ironman 4wd and it did sound and run great, but the frame was completely rusted through on the passenger side. Don't have any welding experience so had to pass it by . . . It was rough but would have been sweet fixed up a little. If you have time, would enjoy seeing some before, during and after pics sometime.

I'm actually set up to do mobile welding. I'd be glad to help you anyway I could. I bought my project CJ, mainly because I couldn't afford a restored one. When I was real little my older brother had a cj 5 and I have a lot of good memories with it... I like my wrangler but I just had to have that CJ.LOL.

Yea, I've come up with a design for a set of tube doors I want to build for my 02 jeep before cold weather. No way I'm gonna pay $300 for a set when I can build a set for less than $100
