I'm new to the forum. My 98 wrangler has had issues over heating for a year or so and got progressively worse, recently replaced old radiator with brand new aluminum DNR radiator and fan, rode fine for three days then overheated again bad. I then replaced water pump, thermostat, and cooling sensor (but only one) and drove her for about two miles. No leaks, no smoke, no smell of coolant burning and then she just quit on me. Tried to start her up again and engine would go on for three seconds and shut off. I smelled a sulfur type of smell, which most sites have pointed to cat con issues.o For now i replaced all the spark plugs and wiring to see if that'd do the trick and she drove smoother and for about twice as long but ultimately overheated again!! She's a junkyard jeep, I know I'm gonna hafta replace the catty eventually and I'd not be surprised if thats why she shut off on the first drive, but would that have anything to do with me overheating when running better after spark plug replacement?
