My boys and I will be there early at the outpost. White YJ, black top, no flares.

I just hope the rain settles the dust. I had to hose out my interior just to remove the thick layer covering everything in the Jeep. Enjoyed it and hope to be back down there today.

I'm hoping this rain will keep it from being a dust bowl tomorrow.

The rain is a double edged sword. It kills the service road dust, but makes the trails slicker than WD40 snot. Last year I got stuck on the log bridge on Wolf Den. Yeah...some crap that was. lol All 4 tires with no traction due to the mud.

You are correct. That bridge can be a royal pain when wet! Headed that direction in a few minutes. Will decide if we trail ride or just wonder the swapfest when we get there.

Wasn't much of a swapfest. Actually, none at all. Some stock rubi wheels and other stock parts. Vendor selling Teraflex kits for no real savings over online.

I did wolf den and slab pile. The mud was horrible. Very sticky, did not clean out of the tire lugs really at all. Slippin and slidin all over the place. Got stuck at the top of wolf den. Centered out on a boulder and had to be pulled off it.

Overall I've seen better turnouts for non-events.

Since it rained I decided to put in my front coil spacers instead, I'm gonna head down to URE Sunday morning if anyone is still interested; I'm not much into the mud thing either

I just got home. I was wheeling with some folks I ran into about 9 this morning. Man was it sticky out there. The ol' YJ did just fine and pulled every hill except Daniel. I didn't even try. I got water in the floorboards from the mud pit, pictures of my rig flexed fully and more mud inside than out.

Im with Riccochet, the turn out wasent nearly as big as i thought it would be but maybe it was because of the rain. The swap meet was rather small and the only person selling something worthwhile was the guy selling fried oreos.

I thought for sure the mud was going to be a fun killer for my 4 banger but it did just fine except for one hill climb on dickey bell. At the top of wolfs den i took the easy side and made you take the harder side ( my bad ). luckily my dad had just installed those front tow hooks cause he thought he was going to be pulling me out all day.

This was the first one so hopefully it will keep growing each year.

There were a few sketchy spots where I lost all traction and slid backwards a good 15 to 20 feet. I got there real early and there weren't that many people at all on the trails. It was still raining pretty good as well. Where I was sliding looked like it didn't see much traffic before me. Sucks hammering down slingin mud trying to go forward while sliding backwards. My wife was freaking out, I'm like "we're all good as long as we slide straight" lol.

New guy

Hey guys! I made it down Sat morning with my 4 day old 2dr Rubicon and had a great time. I was there for Clinks' pic posted above and met Riccochet during a break in the action. I think I wandered through most of the trails, except Daniel, and was constantly surprised at what my machine is capable of...this is my 4th Jeep, first since 2004 and first Wrangler. It's a blast to drive on or off the road! I'm still cleaning the mud off it though!!!

i'm stoked about this weekend. I have a buddy coming down from Va to meet up with me and we are going to attempt to find a spot to camp but it's not looking to promising. seems all the reserved sites are taken. anybody got room for two more plus wives.

we may not be camping either. it's not like we live that far away. If we have to we'll just load the jeep back on the trailer and head home in the evening.
