Anyone in Charlotte?

Hey
I'm in Charlotte and I would like to meet someone who can teach me how to work on my Jeep. I will help work on yours to start with because I can't afford to do anything to my Jeep right now. I drive a TJ. I don't know if there's a big difference between Jeeps but anyone who can help please contact me. Thanks.

I live in Charlotte. I know how to work on mine but still learning. Do you go wheeling/off roading ever?

I used to go all the time. Then when I moved down here and out of my parents house, two things happened.

1 - I didn't want to lose my daily driver
2 - I didn't know where to go where I wouldn't get in trouble.

If I knew how to work on it, I would probably go more. I currently know nothing about working on cars other than changing a tire and jumping a car lol.

Hmm okay dude haha....
First things first, buy an auto service manual.
And most of the stuff is simple. Transfer case fluid change is simple along with everything else(almost everything). So what are you trying to work on specifically?

Yeah well I know a couple places. Just have to look... Waxhaw area has some good trails and mudding spots. It's open property, most of the trails are...
None are on private property. Well most aren't. I avoid the private property ones

Oh yeah, I can top off fluids also. I'm not really trying to do anything specifically, I just want to learn how to do things if they ever come up. Ill go get a manual. Would I be able to get one from autozone? I was looking for someone to help because I am much better at observing and learning as opposed to reading and learning.

Yeah auto zone has them... And the manuals can tell you how to rebuild your motor and such. But I've got nothing wrong with my Jeep except for a super duper minor oil leak. I'd work on my whole Jeep if I had a shop. But I don't. Which... Sucks ass

Yeah I've had to have the coolant system replaced because it was leaking and then it kept leaking and they found out it was the head. And I'd really like to learn how to do stuff myself and thats another problem, I dont have a shop. :[
