Brevard Area

Visitng my daughter and her husband in Brevard over Christmas holidays. Wondering if there are any trails in that area for my LJ. Otherwise we'll just drive the Honda down.
Thanks

Hurricane Creek is 2 hours away from Brevard.

gyramax: what kinda terrain are you looking for? There are a couple gravel roads (unimproved) that lead up Forge Mountain to the Blue Ridge Parkway that are both scenic and fun. There are "trails" up around the Balsam area in Transylvania County west of Brevard. There is Gorges State Park west of Transylvania County in Jackson County that has trails in the lower sections (south), if open: N.C. Division of Parks and Recreation: - Welcome to Gorges State Park And Lastly, there is Pisgah right outside of Brevard on the N.E. end that if you turn in off Hwy 64 and go up 276 and take the first road to the left, it will go paved to gravel to unimproved, to scratched out if you keep going.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Since I'll probably be alone I'm not looking for anything extremely difficult - green or low blue type trails. I do have a winch and recovery gear but again, I'm looking for mostly fun, scenic rides without too much pucker.
