Charlotte trails

Are there any trails in the south Charlotte/union county area? Want to stay local only looking to be out for a few areas.

not that i know of. there might be some "private" trails on somebody's property but unless you know somebody with land and trails your general options are Uwharrie and Gulches (SC).

Wow, gotta love google maps - satellite view - that looks awesome!
There are some powerline trails on the north side of Charlotte, off Eastfield road, but I think they can only be accessed from private property (local homeowners access), so you need permission to get there.

Just found out last night that my buddy, who got stuck on the access trails just off HWY 21 (Statesville Rd) in Huntersville, upon coming out was met by several police cars ... I guess it is private land and they didn't appreciate him being there. No ticket, but a good warning.

The trails in Monroe were gated off by the airport. There is no access anymore.
