So I got a quote for suspension install and the hourly rate is $115. I'm new to the area and that seems pretty darn high, but maybe that's just the going rate for this area.
Can anyone from the Raleigh area chime in on mechanic rates? Preferably mechanics that have experience with off-road vehicles or jeeps?
I'd do the install myself, but the apartment complex I'm living in right now doesn't allow working on your own vehicle...
That's about the going rate honestly. If your willing to drive their is a shop in Mooresville NC that has the cheapest rates and does great work. I've used them a few times and so has a couple of my buddies

Ok thanks for the info. I was just surprised as where I moved from rates were closer to $75/hour. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting taken advantage of...
So it sounds like it might be better for me to do this myself. Is there anyone in the local Raleigh area that might have an available space to let me do this? The apartment complex that I live in does not allow maintenance in the parking lots.
You can say that it's no a maintenance. You are just changing the tires
