South Charlotte Area - Meet and Greet

Recently I have talked to a couple in this area that are interested in a meet and greet with others.

A one time event is fine however if there is further interest, I personally would not mind if we made it a monthly event, keeping it simple by scheduling a regular day, time and location.

My initial thoughts are meeting in the Pineville or Ballantyne area or somewhere along the lower section of 485 for easy access. If anyone is interested please chime in.

Thanks, so are we the only 3 in the Charlotte area who want to meet with other Jeep owners?

I want to learn all I can from other peoples experiences with their jeeps whether it be their mods or off roading experience.

I personally want to find places that have off-road/camping. I've heard of the outer banks of NC but that's it so far.

I agree I love to get a group together to go up to URE. I understand from the locals in blowing rock that Richland Road as some pretty significant challenges if you don't have the proper gear.
Yea I don't know much about it but have a friend wanting to check it out. I have zero off road experience so I'm not looking to do anything crazy. Brown mountain looks like a nice place to try based on you tube videos

I have had very little. I will be back in Blowing Rock the weekend of the 15th. I may ride to Richland Road just to check it out. There is a government site that list logging roads that I want to check out. I will share when I find it.

Between two of the forums there seems to be a few with some interest in a meet up. I am going to throw up a couple of options for time/date and place that works for me. It may be hard to accommodate everyone so give me your preferences and I will choose the one that best fits most.

Please feel free to invite others. At this point I am going on the assumption that there will be 2-10 of us and looking at meeting in close proximity of 77 and 485. If it expands beyond that there may need to be a change in venue. Will cross that bridge if it happens.

Your suggestions are welcome!

Are you on JeepForum as well? I am on there as well but people seem friendlier on here. As for me weekends work better for me. I'm normally working long days during the week. Any place works for me.
I am on this one and the JK forum. I have heard that same comment before about the Jeep forum. Although I am not a member of that form I will occasionally slide over there and read some threads.

I understand there are some others as well including a local one but they're not as active. Being a member on two forms is enough for me.

Yeah get an older 2 door and build it strictly for off-road and use the 4 door for everything else.

Did you enjoy the snow the other week? I was suppose to get my jeep before that but the place closed down early so I had to wait until Friday unfortunately. I was hoping to have some fun in it.

I just moved down here from up north last year so I've seen way more snow than that. Still fun to get out and use the 4x4!

I am in mooresville and am in a group that is fairly active. It's not jeep specific though. We just got back from the gulches. You guys are welcome to join us on any trail rides. Daily Driver off-Roaders (on Facebook)
Sounds cool man. It depends on the level of the trails. I'm new to all of this and haven't taken my Jeep off the pavement yet.

I actually live on the north side of Charlotte so Mooresville isn't too bad of a drive. I'll check out the Facebook page as well.

I love in Ballantyne at the moment but moving to Monroe in the next week or so. I'd be interested in a meet as well. I might be starting a new job very soon so not sure what to expect yet as far as my availability.
