Somebody lied to you about uwharrie, but you can make it as hard or easy as you want, but I've seen a lifted 2wd "punchbug" there with boggers on the back, but welcome from kenly, Johnston co., nc

Found a small trail that leads to a failed development off "autumn leaf rd." in Troutman, NC. ...not bad.

No place immediate that I've found except for some trails on the north end of the county, above Union Grove. I'm either at URE or driving to WV. There are other places around like the "Farms", but nothing too close.

I got spoiled this summer when I went to Colorado. That whole state is Jeep heaven! Needless to say, I'll be moving in the next few years.

10-4 I found a little trail right around the corner from my house here in Troutman. And then there's another one just up the road from that. The two trails are really close together but Im always out there alone and haven't gotten brave enough to build a path to connect the two. I need to work on it. Either way it's enough to spend a few hours out on.

Nice pics! I may have to go out there in a couple weeks when I get back from Vaca. Stretch the legs on my new JKR.

I went up Saturday to some trails near Union Grove, but everything has either a gate up or a no trespassing sign on it. Man, the east coast sucks.

Yeah, so far it's pretty good. No gates or posted signs. (knock on wood) we'll have to meet up sometime and tear it up!
