Topsail Island Trails?

Hi all, Every year me and my fam go down to Topsail Island in NC. This is the first year I have a jeep and I'm thinking about bringing her down with me. Are there any good trails in that area that may be worth bringing the jeep for? Im coming from Jersey so its a hike lol. Let me know!!

There are no trails. but you can get out on the beach on north topsail. Not much to do out there. The rules are pretty strict to.

yeah, not a whole lot to do around topsail. It is nice to drive around the island with no top and doors though, if you are trailering it I would bring it. I don't know if I would drive it all that way just to drive around

Do you have to have a pass to ride on the beach?

Yeah, You have to be going to, or coming from, fishing to drive on the beach on North Topsail. Although I have never been asked anything from a wildlife officer...of course I haven't drawn any attention to myself either. My profile pic was taken there. Unfortunately the only "fun" muddy places in Pender County are owned by hunt clubs who don't take kindly to ANYONE on their land.

I have drove around some in Holly Shelter and ventured back in the woods (past No Trespassing signs) but it's risky. I have heard of people wheeling off the end of Murrayville Rd in Wilmington but I haven't been myself. I was born in Wilmington but live 2 hours away. I am there a lot so if anyone knows any good spots POST UP! Thanks

Hey there, I live on the north end of topsail beach. I go out on the inlet all the time. Like the previous posters said, they're not trails really, but during low tide you can drive down the side of new river. There are some nice flex points considering, though. Just don't forget a tide chart if you drive around down the river. Lol I've seen a couple people get marooned on a tiny island that forms during high tide. As for the cops and wildlife authority down there, as long as you're not destroying their marshland, or doing donuts in the sand, they'll leave you alone. I've never even been checked for a fishing license, and have had a bucket of fish sitting next to me while talking to a cop out there.
