Topton/Nantahala Jeepin'?

He all, I will be in the Topton area near the Nantahala Natl Forest for few nights this month. I was looking for a nice scenic Jeep route to take with the family. I plan on heading over to Winding Stairs Rd., but I was looking for some nice roadside waterfalls/lakes to check out. I know OHV's are restricted pretty much everywhere, but can anyone give me an idea of where I can get off the beaten path and check out some nice scenery and let the kiddos splash around for a while? Thanks in advance...

Go on up to Robbinsville. Get on the Cherahala Skyway going towards Tellico Plains Tn. This is a beautiful drive. Once you get into Tennessee, look for the road to the right into the Indian Boundry area. This will be a paved road. Take the first road to the right which will turn into dirt. This dirt road follows Citico Creek into the Cherokee Nat. Forest. Many places to pull off and splash around in the water. This is a great Trout fishing stream also. This road goes many, many miles back into the forest with a lot of great campsites as well. Great area to ride in a jeep. I also have a 2013 JKUR in Commando Green.

Not true check out 'Standing Indian' it is a nice area for the family to relax right near winding stairs. You can take a nice walk to a hidden waterfall. Some more waterfalls going towards highlands. PS I used to live in Dunedin.
