trails near the boone area

I'm looking at going on a trail ride at richland trail Saturday and was wondering if anyone knew of any other trails or areas around here to ride at.

National Forests in North Carolina - Brown Mountain OHV Trail System

Note from their website: These trails are mostly designed for trail bikes and ATVs. Jeeps and 4WD vehicles may only use Trail 8 and part of Trail 1. No bushwhacking or cutting vegetation is allowed. Only street legal machines that meet all state regulations for safety and noise may use open Forest Service roads.

So far I have not found any around the area either, that are legal either. I have not yet been to Uwharrie in my Jeep, but to ride trails with my Mountain Bike before I got my Jeep. If you go, would love to meet up. If you have some ideas here in this area, would love to hear about them.

Not this weekend, though as it is Mother's day and not even NASCAR runs on Mother's day. But any other Sunday this month, I should be OK.

I'm really late on this but I'm up in Boone fairly often. I live in Morganton and go to school at GWU in Shelby so if anyone is interested on riding somewhere I'm down to go. I live 2 minutes from brown mountain OHV area as well
