My band plays in Asheboro that Sat night (30th), so if I can figure out what to do with my guitars and amps while I'm on the trail, I'd love to go with you.

Yes, the manufacturing side of the business still works 12 hour swings. Makes for long days and a funky schedule.

It depends on how you are camping. Are you rockin' a tent, or do you have a camper that you're pulling? It's more of an RV style campground, so if you're rockin' a tent ... you will get a lot of dust inside your tent from the RV's I think. 2 things to be aware of though:

1) it's Troyfest on saturday, so getting through Troy might be a hassle and the campground may fill up quick, so get there early.

2) Beware of Rattlers. The brown tailed timber rattler is a fairly common sight around Troy and those bitches are MEAN. I almost stepped on one while working on my deer stand outside of Troy ... if that bastard had bitten me I wouldn't be here today to enjoy Jeepin' because I was a good hour away from the closest hospital ... I would have died on the side of the road. The campsite shouldn't really have any of these guys around, but just keep your eyes peeled and if you go on any hikes through the woods ... boy howdy you better be wearing snake boots because by the time you hear a rattle from him it's too late brotha.

Here's a likeness of what you should look for. Notice his camo like stripes and the way his tail blends into a dark brown.

Welcome from CO, btw. I would absolutely love to move to CO!

Eldorado Outpost, 4021 Nc Highway 109 N, Troy, NC

Tent camping will be ok. We have camped there several times over the last 20yrs or so and I have never personally seen a snake other than the common water snakes down by the lake. The rattlers are not the ones you need worry about anyhow. The copperheads on the other hand, they have NO fear of humans and are super pissy about being bothered.

So to be clear, we are meeting at the outpost around 12:30 tomorrow?

I will most likely already be there riding but I will come out and meetup with you guys so we can all ride together. White 90 YJ with no top and no flares.

We are here at arrowhead camp site number 5 if anyone else is up here. What outpost are we meeting at? Is it the main forest station I bought my trail pass at? Any plans for which trails to run? Daniel trail is the only I really am hoping to run but up for just cruising and seeing the park
