Uwharrie Closed??

Hearing a rumor that Uwharrie has been closed as the result of a fossil find. Anyone know if this is fact or fiction? If fact, is the whole system closed or just certain areas? Thanks for any info.

According to their website....
National Forests in North Carolina - Uwharrie National Recreation Trail
they are open.
I certainly hope so, I am planning on heading there this weekend!

Went up there saturday and took a hike up to Kodak Rock, hoping to see dinosaur bones or Indian Mounds or something .... Didn't see any evidence of anything or any type of excavation or study area.
Wheelin' was great everywhere else tho!

That sucks, Kodak was IMO one of the feature obstacles/play areas at Uwharrie. The ledge obstacle a couple hundred yards below Kodak is turning into a bit of a rock garden itself though - it has changed alot over the last ten years.
