It wasn't the best day to take inexperienced people, but we made the best of it. We had a good time.

I'm thinking of taking him on some easy stuff to break him in. Telico/Otter Creek Road and Rainbow Springs should be a good starting point and then to Patterson Gap. If he gets comfortable on those we'll head to Horse Pasture Road for a decent test of his new skills. That's my plan for now, any help would be appreciated.

Sounds great but he's a total noob and just getting him out of the house is my first task. Small steps.

Huzzah!! Got him out to Patterson Gap today, and Jeep, driver and passenger all survived nicely, thank you. I have a feeling the bug is nibbling him a bit.

Top of the Gap

Heading to Persimmon

After crossing a few, it was determined washouts are fun.

Where's the car wash??

All in all a great day to be out and goofing off!

It's been a few years since I rode it and I understand it's open more times now but I'm not sure of the schedule. Rather than try to confuse you with old directions in my addled brain, here's a site that tells you all about it and where to find the entrance.

Horse Pasture Road: Great Riding, New Friends, and Chief's Spaghetti - ADVrider

Here's more directions to get to Horse Pasture I just found ... http://www.scwildlife.com/pubs/septo...mpoffrock.html

OK, question. Jim keeps saying he'd prefer the older style half doors / removable doors to the full doors on his Wrangler. I found these on the web and am wondereing if anyone knows anything about them, or how difficult removing t he doors would be in the first place ???

Hello! My husband and I are in Hendersonville. He was a Jeep owner in college and has had the bug since, so we just bought a 2001 Sport. Love it! We're looking forward to some warmer weather. So far we've only used it for trips to Oskar Blues and Southern Appalachian Brewery (and a few fun drives b/n). Gotta support the local craft brewers!

Just wanted to say hi!

Iduno I was riding the harley and my belt drive broke. Right in front of Petco at Biltmore mall exit. He was the first person in an half hour to ask if I needed help. That's why I love jeepers lol. He was sitting at the red light. I already had a buddy on his way. But his rubicon sticker on the side of his hood was like a neon green almost. It was lifted I think it had trimmed fenders but not sure.

Hey I'm Will or Will eithers fine! I have a pretty stock white 2010 jk sport, with the exception of some new 2011 or 12 rims with new 285/70/17's on them its totally stock, no lift at all. Id love to come, I need directions and cost planning. What I mean is does it cost to wheel there and what exit is it? How far is it past the NC/SC line or are we heading toward TN? I'm all mixed up! Thanks, Will.
