Its fun, should give it a shot. I'll be out on the North End later this afternoon after my wife gets out of work if anyone is interested.

I don't know if it's just me or not but jeepsters in wilmington seem stuck up as of late. I wave to every wrangler I see and get nothing in return from most of them. I remember growing up here and everyone waved at each other. They stopped to talk to each other about their newest projects and such. But now that I'm older and have a jeep the once friendly people that owned wranglers are far and few between. Just saying I think we need to tighten up our community a little and help out were we can even if it is a wave in return.

Hi and waves, You are right though. I wave if nothing but off the steering wheel. It's the new jk's at fault. That's what I have but it seems most people now that have them are soccer mom's and dudes that just wanna look cool. Which means most don't know it's just the jeep way. But we will educate them when we can. Lol

GTD - jeep / grill

Hi everyone - My Wife and I are going to be at Freeman Park for go topless day - I'll have a grill and some food, should be enough to share to some extent - if anyone is interested come on out - if you want to be guaranteed food you should bring something! We did a test run a couple of weeks ago and the burgers went away fast! Here's a pic of the jeep we'll be with. I'll try to remember to put the cb on ch. 11 also!

Awesome grill platform Eaton !

My wife is REALLY pregnant right now, but as long as I don't become a father on gtd we'll see you out there .

Oh, and if I see any of my fellow jeepers I'll wave .

Wife and I are heading down Friday. Will the festivities be on the far north end? Want to set up camp close by.

I find it amusing how worked up some people get over the no wave issue.

As for GTD, I'll be there but not sure who I'll be with but I have a blue tj with cut fenders and big swampers.

Hi! Waves! I'm a jeeper and a mom driving up and down i40 on my way to the nc/sc beaches Just got my 14 sport unlimited in dec 13. The dealership didn't tell me about the wave, another jeeper friend did and I'm loving the community and checking out each other's rides! Keep riding, waving, and bringing in the newbies!

Good luck, better get down there early. Just got back from the beach. Both ends north and south are packed this weekend. After lunch you might have a hard time getting near the water. Better luck on the south end this weekend. But if I see Ya I will stop by.

Sounds good - We were able to get on the South side yesterday - the North side was stopped at the entrance!

I was there all weekend. No problems getting on or off. Only problem I had was Sun afternoon when it became gridlocked for 45 minutes due to stuck people at zone 17

Saturday & Sunday after 2pm they were doing one vehicle leaves one goes on... brutal! We had to bob and weave through several stuck trucks - took about 30 minutes to get out to 22, 23 area! Good times once we got situated!

I have to agree that it is most of the people in the jk's that don't wave. I actually just got a tj about a month ago and every other person in a tj waves and I wave back. Rarely do ones in jk's wave back though. I wish there was some clubs or meetings in Wilkes where I live!

I don't see it that way, there will be stuck up people where ever u go...or maybe they just dont understand. I'm Def a waver there are many jeeps out there. Try waving at the jeeps with no windows, doors or top- Not the rimmed up ones nor the ones with blacked out windows that are shut on perfect no top days.

True jeepers are comfortable with themselves. Are not affraid to be seen. They fall in lust with lives gifts and they love their jeep.

But I go early so by the time you get there I am gone or leaving. But you guys cann't miss me, silver islander. Most of the time no top and tube doors. But I think this fine cloudy morning it will be doors and soft top. Lol. Have fun, be safe, and I'll wave

I know right! I thought I would be able to take it off easily by myself but its heavier than I thought! Trying not to throw my back out! We split between N & S end - the last time we were a the S end there were about 4 "trucks" stuck at the entrance.... for a minute I thought we were at freeman park! I'm gonna try and get the top off today, I have to clear out some room first!

You will love ILM! South end is awesome and its only 50.00 for a year pass! Less stupidity on the South end for sure - more entertainment on the North end! We will probably be out there this afternoon......

Awesome jeep man! If you have a garage, you can winch it up . Here's my jeep. I need to smooth out the fenders, prep them, and bedline them (front and plastic backs).
